Gerald POV

Less than a week later we were at Grady's getting ready for this concert the girls were so bat shit crazy about. Danny had her hair down and was wearing a short dress shimmered in the light. I smirked and snapped a photo posting it to Instagram.

"Let's go the limo just got here!" Bliz yelled before making his way outside. My mom had Kevin for the night, leaving us to all goofy off and party. Ellie tugged Dee along, already nursing a cocktail in her hand. Marty glanced to me, merely checking on my state of mind. He knew Dee and I weren't working anymore. We functioned without each other better than with each other. Truth be told it was probably because I was never there for her. Always away or on tour.

We all climbed into the limo, goofing around and smoking as music came through the speakers. Dee and Ellie were chit chatting on the other end of the limo, laughing almost constantly. I couldn't help but crack a smile watching before downing my glass of whiskey. The Staples Center wasn't a long drive, soon enough we were being escorted backstage. Ellie was nearly shaking with excitement much to Daniella's amusement. Yet a odd sensation filled me when Bruno came into view. I knew the guy from what I had seen on tv and such, but the way he grinned seeing Danny made my stomach tighten.

"If it ain't LAs prettiest mama!"

"Bruno! How have you been?!" She grinned and hugged him, he kissed her cheek before she motioned to Ellie and the rest of us. "This is probably one of your biggest fans Ellie. This is Matt, Marty, Blizzy, Grady, and my husband Gerald." He grinned and shook everyone hand, yet gave Ellie the same treatment as Danny with a kiss on the cheek.

"Nice to meet you all. I've been good. Touring keeps me busy. Thanks for helping me out on the album. I know you got the best ears in the business. Say let's all go have a drink before I got warm up and all that mumbo jumbo." He motioned down the hall. "Phil is gonna join us, I don't know about the rest of those hooligans. Now Gerald, when's that new album come out?"

"You're a fan?" I chuckled slightly and shrugged. "I didn't take you as a fan of my shit."

"I like a little bit of everything. Dee here showed me some of your stuff in the studio, it's tight. Real shit."

"Well thanks man, I appreciate it. As for the new album I'm looking at the end of the year. I still got some songs that I want to write and then editing needs to happen." I pulled out a blunt from my pocket and glanced around before lighting it up. The dressing room was nice, dare I say nicer than mine. We all sat around and talked bullshit. I still couldn't help but notice the way he looked at her sometimes. Drinking her in with his eyes as if he lusted after her. She got a drink from the bartender and sat down beside me laughing slightly.

"Whats got you brooding?" Her eyes were glossy from the weed and face slightly pink from the liquor. I shrugged and took her hand, kissing the back.

"I can't sit here and be jealous of that guy looking at my girl?"

"Well I'm sorry darling but the night has just started. We should grab our seats." She smirked slightly and stood, taking my hand and pulling me along. The arena was already pretty full as we made our way from backstage. She shook her hips to the music playing over the speakers before laughing as she caught me staring.

"What I can't stare at what's mine?" She pulled me close and moved my jacket off my shoulders. I tossed it into the chair before pulling her into my arms.

"Mr.Gillum you shouldn't stare it's impolite." She giggled before pulling away to chat with Ellie who was now staring at the stage. I can't lie it crossed my mind that she might have been seeing this Bruno guy. She'd never told me she'd even met him let alone worked with him.

My mind was pulled from those thoughts when the music started and the crowd went wild. It was nothing like one of my concerts, it lacked a pit full of sexual people. Almost too tame for my liking. Yet Danny and Ellie stole the show. Dancing and singing as the camera went to watch them. Yet as the night kept on even Grady was noticing the looks that whole five foot four of a man kept giving the girls. So much to the point that the ride home in the limo was anything but fun.

"Grady you're being ridiculous." Ellie grumbled leaning on Daniella who was looking out the window, her hand holding up her head.

"He is literally a man whore." The limo stopped and Danny nearly ran out. She was never one for drama fights between couples. I sighed and gave a wave before getting out and closing the door to them still arguing. Honestly I felt bad for Matt and Marty, Blizzy was surely too hammered to care.

She kicked off her heels and sighed, turning on the lights as she wandered upstairs. I followed after and cleared my throat to speak.

"You seeing him?" She stopped and turned around giving me the look, which was shere confusion and anger.

"Excuse me?"

"I see the way you look at him Dee and the way he looks at you. Are you fucking him-?" Smack. I held my cheek before closing the space between us until her back was against the wall.

"You're a fucking prick you know that Gerald?! You got some nerve thinking I'd throw away our marriage like you?!" I put my fist through the wall right by her head as she just stared at me and said the words I wished I never heard. "I'm done Gerald."

She pulled away from me and went to our room straight to the closet. I winced looking at my hand and stretched it out.

"Dee don't fucking leave. What the fuck did I do wrong?" She looked at me and laughed bitterly before shrugging. Those beautiful eyes of hers welled with tears.

" You changed Gerald. I just wanted you by my side. I didn't need the jewelry, the house, the fancy expensive shit. I just wanted my Bay area guy back." She shook her head and grabbed one of the duffel bags. "I don't want anything from you. Except to see my kid now and then."

"Dee." I kept saying her name yet she slipped on some sweats and a hoodie before she walked by me. Like an idiot I snapped. " You fucking walk out the door I'll never want you back! You'll be nothing to me! Just some fucking baby mama!" My voice cracking giving away my lying habit. The alcohol only fueling my rage.

"Divorce papers are in my drawer of the nightstand Gerald. I already signed them." She brushed the tears off her face before walking out the front door. I stood at the top of the steps until I heard her car drive off. Only then did I sink to the floor and stare at the door. I'd lost the girl I loved.
