*Same year of Lucy's death*
No one's POV~
The guild felt empty. No one could even believe
that Lucy was dead. No one could believe it more than
Natsu. He felt an emptiness
in his heart. No matter how many times people reminded
him. He never believed that Lucy was dead. He kept denying
it over and over. "Like a nightmare," he says "I will wake and see Lucy's beautiful smile."
*Year one*
Everyone and everything is slowly getting better.
All but Natsu, he knows that Lucy is dead, but he can't help but feel... Angry. Not angry at the guild, nor Lucy,
but at himself. If he wasn't so blind, dense, or idiotic
Lucy would be alive. If he
kept his promise she would be there, with him.
*Year two*
Natsu barely eats, and
cries at night. When he does
sleep he has horrible nightmares.
Watching Lucy cry in her bed,
hurting herself. Then
her dull eyes look at him in saddness. Showing pain, betrayal and heartache. Just saying it was
all his fault. That he was just like her father. That he promised to protect her.
To protect her future, well how could he protect it if he took
it away?
*Year three*
Three years, it had been three years. Natsu seems to be back to normal. But he will never be the same. Every year since
Lucy died he goes on a job.
With no one but himself.
He even leaves his best friend
at the guild. Wanting to be alone on the worst day.
The day he broke her heart,
the day he came to his senses, and the day when his
mate died.
