Chapter 19

Ji Yeon POV

This morning, Buddy walked me to school since U-Kwon said he was busy about some assignment he forgot to do with Kyung.

"So where are we going to do our project?" Taehyung asked as we walked home from school.

"What's the project about?" Suga asked.

"Some essay about our favorite animal. We had to work in groups so V, Ji Yeon, and I got together," J-Hope replied.

"Ow!" We heard Taehyung say. We looked over to see him rubbing his side, wincing in pain as Jimin's expression was quite suspicious.

"What did you do now, Jimin?" Rap Mon asked.

"I just nudged him, how sensitive," Jimin said, smirking at V. He only glared in return and said,"Shut up."

"Anyways .. Should we do the project at your house?" J-Hope asked me. I nodded happily.

When we arrived at my house, my mom was cleaning the living room.

"Umma! I brought two friends home to work on a project," I told her.

"Annyeonghaseo, Taehyung imnida," V greeted.

"Annyeonghaseo, Jung Hoseok imnida!" J-Hope greeted as well. My mother warmly smiled at them but all of a sudden, I noticed something. No one rushed in to greet me like always..

"Umma, where's Buddy?" I asked her. Her eyes widened.

"I though he might've been outside your school waiting for you all day," she said. A rush of panic came across me.

"N-no .. He came back after he walked me to school .." I replied, stuttering in fear. Her face turned into worry, making me at unease.

"I haven't seen him all day," she said in a low tone. My eyes started to water, feeling like I lost half a heart. I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"We could go look for him," Taehyung offered. J-Hope nodded.

"We gotta hurry, he could be in danger!" I cried worriedly.

"Go look around your school! The neighborhood, I don't know, everywhere!" My mother hollered as we three rushed outside.

"You two go to the park, I'll take a look around the school," J-Hope said. We started jogging towards the park and I looked through every corner, every sight in my vision to see where the golden retriever could be.

"Don't worry, Ji Yeon. Buddy's smart, he couldn't have gone far and maybe could come back home later," Taehyung assured. I shook my head in disagreement and disbelief.

"He would always come directly home, there's no reason for him not to have done the same this morning," I replied. When we got to the park, there were no signs of Buddy anywhere.

"Taehyung Oppa, let's see if he's in that forest," I told him, pointing to the creepy forest from afar.

"It's dangerous there, why would he be there?" V said. I sighed.

"I just want to look everywhere," I said, looking hopelessly around the park.

"Maybe he went to Rap Monster's house to see Vanilla, let me call him," V said, taking out his phone. After a couple of rings, he put it on loudspeaker for both of us to hear.

"Yo, V. Wassup?" Rap Monster said.

"Namjoon, you seen Buddy?" Taehyung asked.

"No, why?"
