The Boondocks: A New Family Member

~ Chapter 2: A New Face ~

~ Ebony ~

I opened my eyes slowly, though when they were opened everything looked blurry.

I couldn't see clear. The last thing I remember is walking through the streets lasts at night.

But I I know my back is on a bed.

Was I dreaming?
Did I dream my mom left?
That I ran away?

My eyes finally went into focus and I was looking at a ceiling light. But not the ceiling light that was in my room.

This is not my house.

I quickly sat up, looking at the unfamiliar large room.

I began to get scared.

I got out of the bed, walking towards the door.

I opened it and immediately saw someone walking by.

I quickly closed the door in, only seeing between the crack.

His skin was mocha coloured, and had dark cornrows. He looked as if he might be my age, possibly younger.

He walked into a different room, that I assumed was the bathroom.

Where in the world am I?

I then took my chance to quickly run out the room, though another door opened making me hide behind a wall.

I looked and saw a woman wearing a tight dress walking out of a room, and going down the stairs.

I was confused as she exited but shook it off.

"Aye!"

I turned around in a surprise to see the same boy I saw before frowning at me.

"Who tha hell are you?!" He yelled as I could hardly speak.

"I.. Um I-"

"Get out! You tryna steal from us?! Stealin' ass hoe!"

"I'm not!" I protested. "I don't know how I got here!"

"Stop lyin'." He doubted me. "Get out before I call tha cops!"

"Riley." I then heard a another masculine voice as well as a door opening.

I saw another boy that looked similar to him but had an awfully large afro and he was slightly taller.

I then realized their wine coloured eyes and mocha skin resembled to mine.

"This hoe broke into our house, Huey!" I'm guessing Riley told his brother Huey as we walked up.

"No she didn't, Riley." He said plainly witha scowl on his face.

Weird.
Why does he look so mad?

"Wait." I paused. "How did I get here? I woke up in an unfamiliar room and-"

"I found you unconscious on the street sidewalk, so I asked my Granddad to bring you in." He replied.

I  fainted?
So what happened wasn't a dream..

"Thanks.." I said gratefully. "I'll just leave now."

"Yeah! Beat it!" Huey then slapped Riley upside the head. "Wait, where do you live? My granddad will drop you home when he wakes up."

I paused. "Well.. I-"

"Good! Tha sooner tha better!" Riley then frowned. "GRANDDAD!"

An old man then ran out of the same room the woman ran out of.
