Merlin one shots

Double date

"Is that why you're always trying to sleep more? To get something you dont have?" Merlin smirked.

The next day Merlin was actually there when he was supposed to be. It most likely was due to him not sleeping in because of his exhaustion this time.

"Alright Merlin, get two baths set up." Arthur groggily told Merlin as he ate his breakfast. As confused as Merlin was, he decided not to ask questions today. It was too early for questions. It was too early for this, but the clot pole was the prince after all.

When Merlin had two baths ready, Arthur bluntly told him to get in one.

"Wha- why?" Merlin suddenly felt very awake.

"Can't have you smelling horrid around the princess, Merlin."

A very stupified Merlin looked to Arthur, then the tub, and then Arthur again.

"Just get in Merlin," Arthur told him irritated.

So Merlin took off his shirt slowly waiting to see if this was a joke.

"Go on. You've seen me naked before, this isn't that different." Arthur was also undressing at the moment. They each blocked a certain part of their bodies before getting into the tubs.

This was the Bizarrest situation Merlin had ever been in. Arthur on the other hand acted like it was nothing. On the inside, he was freaking out.
What was he thinking? Someone had to get out first. What was Merlin thinking of this? Those were a few of Arthur's many thoughts.

When Arthur had fully cleaned himself he decided he'd be the first to get out. For a few seconds he gave Merlin a great view of his butt, before putting a towel around his waist.

"There's a towel for you over there Merlin." Arthur pointed to a stool nearby Merlin's tub. "I still need your help getting dressed Merlin."

Splashing could be heard as Merlin stumbled out.

Quickly Merlin dressed himself in the clothing he had tried on yesterday. Of course he still couldn't figure out his shirt. So shirtless, Merlin raced to dress his king.

Normally it would have been no big deal, but today... They were both shirtless, just bathed next to each other, and the stuff Arthur had done for him yesterday were making it strange.

When Arthur was dressed, he swiftly grabbed the Merlin's shirt and wrapped it around Merlin.

Merlin felt warmth and shivered every time their skin made contact. Arthur was too dazed by their proximity to notice.

"Alright, we're both ready. Time to go!" Arthur said lacking the excitement. He'd just remembered they were going on a double date.

They'd just finished setting up the picnic next to 'an adorable stream' as the princess had called it.

When Merlin had see  the princess and her servant, he realized just how right Arthur was. They were both mesmerizing.

Princess Althea had long honey coloued hair that looked wonderful with her fair complexion. Hair bouncing with each step, her walk was entrancing. Arthur didn't seem to notice.

Her servant Sabrina was tanned with a thin frame. Sabrina's dimples were captivating, but Merlin found himself uninterested.

Sabrina and Princess Althea were sitting next to each other getting the fruit out.

"Don't mess this up. I've heard that Princess Althea takes Sabrina's advice quite seriously." Arthur whispered.

"Anything else I should know about them?" Merlin muttered into Arthur's ear.

"I've been told they're extremely close,"

They each sat up getting ready to attempt to woo the ladies.

"So how long have you been dating?" The princess asked.

Merlin didn't understand the question, while Arthur began gaping like a fish.

"I'm sorry if the princess was too blunt. We've been dating for three years, and we heard rumours that you two were dating. We were sure you'd heard, and when Arthur asked us out on a double date..."

Now Merlin and Arthur were stunned. They didn't know if they should tell them the truth or go on with the date.

After a while they decided to just go with it. The double date itself was far too awkward to ever talk, or think about ever again. But if anyone asked, Merlin would tell them that Arthur basically forced him on a date with another couple.
