part two / his pov

ethan:

"okay so this is the time where i would like to call y/n's amazing boyfriend, ethan, up to the stage," her mom said and i smiled. i walked up to the stage, everyone's eyes on me but i only cared about y/n in the moment.

i thanked her as i moved to the microphone, clearing my throat, "i'm actually really nervous," i said earning a few laughs from the audience. "okay so i've been with y/n for about seven months now," i said beginning, i looked at y/n and she smiled. "she's just so breath taking. she's made these seven months the most amazing months i've ever had. her beauty, her personality, and her heart are the things i love about her most." i said. 

"i had a speech prepared but i'm getting starstruck by how amazing she looks tonight so it's a little distracting but y/n, i hope this is one of the best birthday's you'll ever have and it's the most remembered. you definitely deserve everything you get in life, i'm very proud of you. i love you," i finished and she started walking towards me. 

i met her half way, a huge smile placed on her face, "i love you so much. thank you ethan," she said pulling me in for another kiss. 

grayson:

i walked into the room, clothes were thrown everywhere as well as bags. "sorry for the mess, some people got ready here and some are spending the night," she said and i nodded. she stood there awkwardly, playing with her fingers as i admired the dressed up her. "so how have you been?" she asked making small talk. 

"good i guess," i said and she nodded. i sighed, "you look absolutely amazing," i said and she smiled, a tint of pink rushing to her cheeks. "i love you," i said and she furrowed her eyebrows, looking at me intently. 

"what?" she asked probably wondering if she heard me correctly.

"i love you," i said again and she shook her head. she turned around ready to walk out of the room, "y/n stop! i love you."

she turned back around, "you love me but then you break up with me? that doesn't add up grayson," she said and i nodded. 

"i know but being without you makes me realize how much i need you. i can barely think straight, most things aren't funny to me anymore. everything is so dull and seeing you so beautiful makes me regret ending things all because i was scared of the stupidest thing," i explained and she smiled. she walked closer to me, her arms wrapping around my neck as we got closer, our lips touching. 

my heart stopped as her lips moved with mine, my hands going to her waist as i pulled her closer. she pulled away from me, "i love you too."
