The Eight, Aphmau, and Skymedia Story

The Team

   Jessica/Aphmau Pov. 

       I was almost to the clearing where my instincts were saying to go. Then I heard the branch snap behind me. I did a backwards cartwheel and instantly had my spear against someone's throat. He had three people behind him that shouted in alarm,

  "Adam!" 

"Crazys chicks!" 

and my favorite

 "Put the stick down!"

   Upon closer inspection they looked about my age maybe within a two year range. One had an eyepatch, messy dark brown hair, and seemed to speak a weird version of English. Another had a purple sweatshirt, straight black hair, and brown eyes. Finally the last one, he had red hair and seemed to be angry. The one I was debating killing was a curly haired brunette with a purple and gold necklace. He started to speak,

  "Hello umm.. could you maybe not kill me please?"

  " Maybe if I had any clue what you're doing here!" I said in a semi calm voice. Not really though.

Sky Pov. 

  " We are here for the meeting with the Seven!" Jin said panicking.

   " I am too." The beautiful woman threatening my life states.

  "Then maybe put the spear down." I say trying to keep from blushing and simultaneously being slaughtered.

  "I won't." She replies simply.

  "Buts whys?" Barney asks.

  " Because if I let you go you will turn me in." The raven haired beauty states.

   "Turn you in? Why would I do that? What for?" I bombard her with needless questions.

  " You seem genuine, you live." She says while releasing her grip on my shirt, and stepping back.

   " Thanks for not killing me, umm means a lot to me." I state trying to calm my furious blush.

    "Are you angry? You are turning red. It seems unhealthy." She asks with concern.

     The guys are cracking up. Jin literally doubles over with laughter, and Barney slaps him on the back. Meanwhile Max is having a minor seizure. I notice the girl stiffens at their laughter. I get ready to ask when I hear a rustle in the bushes. Three old best friends step in laughing their asses off at my expense.

   "Ross, Shelby, Red!" I say hugging them.

   The strange girl then looks at them skeptically and says,

  "I'm guessing you all got the note?"

     The word yes is echoed around us. Every one around us states their name for the strangers benefit, and also their powers. Apparently Ross got magic, Shelbs got love, and Red got battle.

"What about you?" I say to the beauty. She replies with,

  " Call me Echo until I trust you, and I got light, and only light!"

"Ookkay, umm I know there is supposed to be seven of us, WHY IN ALL HELLS DO WE HAVE EIGHT? I shout.

  Echo replies "That is for me and only me to know." Everybody stares at her before I shrug.

   " We will find out soon." I say as a fact.

    "I don't  doubt it." She quips.
