"RJ?! Anong ginagawa mo dito ng ganito kaaga?" M asked as she descended the stairs of their home in Bulacan.

It was obvious that she got out of bed with her hair pulled up in a messy high bun, her freshly washed face bare of any makeup and her oversized shirt and short shorts.

R stared at her mesmerized at how beautiful she still looked at seven in the morning in her simplest clothes.

Lord, kung ganito kaganda ang bubungad sa akin tuwing umaga mas maaga pa akong magigising sa alarm ko at din ko na po sisipain si Mama Ten .

He smiled at her and laid his arms out in front of him, presenting M with a huge bouquet of pink and yellow carnations. She also noticed paper bags of food takeouts from his restaurant on the table.

"Good morning, Meng. Di ba sabi ko sa'yo, manliligaw ako?"

"Nang alas siyete ng umaga?! Jusko naman! Wala ka namang lahing Intsik di ba? Bakit may araw ka naman manligaw?" M asked then took the flowers from R. "Thank you dito."

She gestured for him to sit down so he did and she sat down beside him on the couch.

"Busy kasi mamaya eh at ayaw ko namang patagalin pa ang pag-uumpisa. Di na nga ako nakatulog kanina dahil gustong gusto ko na pumunta dito." He told her without taking his eyes off of her.

"Seryoso ba to?" She asked.

R reached out to hold her hand firmly. "Seryoso nga ako. Mahal kita at handa akong humarap kina Tito at Tita para ipagpaalam ang panliligaw ko sa'yo."

She bit her lip and evaded his gaze as she suppressed a giggle.

Shet! Maiihi ata ako sa kilig? Alden Richards oh! Nasa bahay namin para humarap sa tatay ko. Who would have thought na ganoon ako kaganda?

"Ehem..." TD made his presence known by clearing his throat when he walked in on the two holding hands in the living room.

R bowed apologetically and slowly let go of M's hand. He got up and attempted to take TD's hand to touch his forehead on the back of it but M's dad dismissed him with a slight wave of his hand and a shy smile. R stepped back and beamed at ND who leaned in to buzz his cheek.

"Good morning, iho." She said.

"Good morning po."

"Ang dami mo na namang dala ah. Susunduin mo ba ulit si Menggay pero maaga pa. Kain muna tayo." ND continued.

"Nay, chill. Hindi po kagaya ng ibang pagpunta ni RJ." M said.

TD and ND looked at R questioningly.

"Ah, Tito, Tita. May sadya po kasi ako sa inyo kaya po ako nandito." R explained.

"Ano yun?" TD asked.

"Tay, mukhang kailangan mong maupo para dito." M suggested.

ND gasped. "Buntis ka, Menggay?!"

"NAY!"
"MARY ANN!" TD and M exclaimed at the same time, leaving R furiously blushing.

"Hindi po yun! Jusko! Hindi pa naman po boyfriend si RJ. Ano ba?"

"Ay! Hindi pa ba? Akala ko kasi kayo na sa sobrang palagay niyo kumilos eh." ND said.

"O siya. Umupo na tayo." TD told them and they all sat down.

R&M sit beside each other on the couch while TD and ND sat on either side of them on the single sofas.

R took a deep breath and absentmindedly ran his fingers through his hair before speaking.

"Ano po kasi, Tito, Tita... Andito po ako para magpaalam kung pwede po ba akong pormal na manligaw kay Meng." He said with all the courage he could muster at that time despite the deafening race of his heartbeat. He felt like all his blood was drained out of his body.

"Oo naman, nak. Apo na nga agad naisip ko di ba?" ND laughed.

"Over eager lang, Nay?" M giggled and shook her head.

"Bakit ba? Eh sa sobrang lambing, sipag at bait ng batang to." ND replied.

"Naku, Nay. Ang ATard mo talaga. Wag  masyado halata. Lalaki ulo nitong Tisoy." M chuckled.

"Thank you po, Tita." R smiled.

TD was a different story. He quietly looked at R, making the younger man squirm in his seat.

"So yung mga pinakita at kinilos mo sa anak ko noon, yung paghatid-sundo, yung mga pagdalaw mo dito, ano yun? Kung ngayon ka pa lang manliligaw." TD asked.

"Tito, totoo po yun lahat bilang kaibigan ni Meng at totoo din po na mahal ko na siya noon pa man pero kahit kailan po hindi ko po intensiyon na pagsamantalahan yung closeness namin. Kaya po ako nandito para linawin po ang lahat, para ilahad po ang tunay na intensiyon ko kay Meng."

"At ano naman yun?"

R faced M and stared at her for a while, gathering the strength and inspiration to say what he was about to say.

"Intensiyon ko pong mahalin at pasayahin siya habang buhay, ang bigyan siya ng dahilan para ngumiti sa bawat araw, ang protektahan at pangalagaan siya sa bawat oras, ang balang araw..." He glanced at M and sighed with a smile. "Ang balang araw mapakasalan ko siya at makabuo ng masayang pamilya kasama siya kung tatanggapin niya ako."

TD took a deep breath and stared at his daughter and the brave man who just stated his intentions for her gaze at each other in silence.

"Menggay..."

"Opo, Tatay?"

"Pakasalan mo na yan." TD laughed.

"Halaaaah..." M blushed and tucked her hair behind her ear. 💛🍃
