Jessica's POV: 20 minutes later...

"Fish and chips (fries). As ordered." Simon beams as he walks back into the room, holding a tray. "Thanks Simon." I smile widely as he places the tray of food in front of me. "Anytime, Jess." He smiles back at me.

I waste no time. I instantly begin eating the food that I've fucking missed. "I've missed this." I mumble with a mouth full of food. Simon laughs at me. "It's just food, Jess." He says as he sits next to me. "I've not eaten anything in over a month, Simon." I state. "True, true." He nods.

-

"Simon?" I mutter as I push the now empty tray away from me. "Yeah?" He questions as he stands up. "Firstly, why did you stay with me?" I ask; curiosity laced in my voice. "Thought I'd be nice." He smiles. "Secondly, do you know if my mum is coming to visit me tonight?" I ask. "I don't, unfortunately. Sorry." He says. "No, no. It's fine." I smile softly at him. "Anymore questions?" He asks. "Can you stay with me more often, when no one is here?" I ask innocently. "Maybe. We'll see, won't we." He smiles brightly. "I guess we will." I lightly chuckle. He just smiles as he grabs the tray from the table. "Don't forget to take your medication, Jess." He says as he points to the small pot of pills on the bedside table. "I won't. Don't worry Simon." I smile. "Good, good." He nods before walking to the door. "So, I'll see you soon then." He says with a small smile. "Okay." I smile back. He smiles again before walking out the room - closing the door behind him.

-

A sigh escapes my lips. "He's a sweetheart isn't he. Bless." I mutter quietly to myself. A small smile locks itself onto my face. "I bet all the female nurses, and doctors - possibly even some male nurses and doctors - fucking adore him." I mumble to myself as I lie back down. "I know I do. I know I adore him." I sigh.
