Saryia

The agonizing days have blurred into one. Haty and I have been hard at work making sure that we are all ready for the battle. Hatspehut has been training hard with her brothers, making sure the plan with the younger elders is in order, making sure that the different species don't argue with eachother, making sure Belle isn't ignored, and keeping our relationship in order. I have been doing the same but it seems to be getting tougher as the night comes closer.

Jamie has been hard at work with Marie, Fawn, and Dawn. Marie is one hell of an archer, as well as Fawn. Dawn has all her forces ready, the humans seem to like the idea of her as their future queen, and her son as the prince. I have been at work looking for potential monarchs for the other species. I'm looking for leadership, charisma, and of course submission to I and my beloved wife. All of these monarchs have to submit to us, so that way there won't be anymore wars.

"Empress Saryia!" I turn to the messenger running towards me. His armor is beaten up with marks of werewolf claws and blood. His brown hair is matted with sweat and dirt. The smell he carries tells me he ran from the forest. This vampire might be from Exous' legion. He pants as if he has ran a marathon. The vampire regains his breath and bows to me.

"What is it messenger?" He reaches in his bag and pulls out a letter that has specks of blood on it.

"A message from Lieutenant Exous." He offers it to me with his head bowed and I take it from him quickly. He walks backwards then runs off, out of the gates back to Exous. I hope he will be smart enough to not lead the wolves to Exous. Xi Yang and her brother Po come up to me on their horses.

"A letter from Exous." I mumble to them and open it. As I read through the letter Exous tells me some grim news of his fight in the woods. Sabrina gave him and his troops a great struggle. It was pretty much a very bloody stalemate, most of his troops are wounded, some are dead, but the ones that can fight are coming with him to the battle on the night of it. I sigh to myself and look up at the Yangs.

"He will be here for the battle. His troops are barley standing, but they are fighting for us." The Yangs nod and go about their business. I've been somewhat alone for a bit, and I could use some company. Haty goes off by herself about this time to meditate. She has to be ready for Mor, Mor must be destroyed or she might become too powerful for Hatspehut to handle. Jamie isn't really busy except getting Marie ready for the transformation. I really hope it does work, I can see it in Jamie's eyes she loves Marie more than anything.

It would completely destroy her if Marie didn't make it through the transformation. I should go see if everything is going well with that talk. Leaving the courtyard I walk through the halls of the fort. I designed this place to be 100% defensive and offensive. Nothing is getting in by force, and if there were prisoners they would not be getting in here. Every hall is made with some sort of trap, all can be activated in the control room.

"Jamie? You busy?" I open her door, Marie's head is resting her lap she is sound asleep. Jamie puts her finger to her lips then stares back at the sleeping girl with love glowing in her eyes.

"She went down a few minuets ago. Come in, just try not to wake her." I carefully place myself on the bed next to Jamie. Staring down at Marie memories from when I first bought her, and what happened while she was in my house made me think if she was really ready for being a vampire.

"Do you think she is ready for this? Being a vampire is torture and we both know it." Jamie moves the fiery red hair from her fiancé's face. Her fingers brush lightly over Marie's cheeks, her unconscious response is to snuggle into Jamie's lap. Marie's nose twitches like a little bunny then she relaxes again. Jamie grins down at Marie as I chuckle to myself.
