Everything Wrong With: Sonic Fandom

So yeah, I saw that people have finally heard some news about Sonic 2017. This isnt gonna be me, giving all the details that I know, this is mostly me complaining

Well one, thank goodness people actually heard the news, Seriously, I'm here earning money to get myself a Switch ever since watching the Announcement livestream, and you guys just literally got the news from a year ago.

(BTW, if there's actually anyone else here are active followers on Nintendo/SEGA News regarding their franchises, hook me up and let's talk)

Second, I saw someone I'm following react to Ultimate_Sontails 's book about the news, and no. 

It is true, The interview/twitter post did confirm a new character with his/her own game mechanic for Project 2017, but any news other than that was never there. I honestly found it hilarious that people are start gonna assume that some fanart is the new character. 

It's not a Chicken, people, I'd prefer Scourge than those fan characters you guys are assuming to be a new special character with a big role (Even though Scourge is literally one of the worst characters and written character story and personality wise but y'know, personal taste and I prefer good writing)

I hoe this rant isnt too random, as off posting this complaint there is no currently news on Project Sonic 2017, and the new character and I just needed to make that abundantly clear

I actually like this chapter because the idea was hilarious to me, but I'm sure no one would get this without any context. This rant is like, half a year probably prior to the Hero Mode release but I'm sure people will read this so I need to be sure people can get the situation.

Okay to reexplain the situation, a user named Ultimate_Sontails originally made a book "revealing" the 3rd playable character a few months before the Hero Mode teaser even came out (I never made a screenshot sorry) (I'm only being specific since the user deleted the book anyway so it doesn't matter)

The user claimed that someone's Rooster OC "Suck the Cock" is the playable character and hilariously enough, people believed him/her. The user still had me blocked at the time so I could never voice out my opinion on it so I made this rant, but decided to not mention the specifics since I was still blocked.

But I came back to this rant, remembering how funny the situation is because I wonder how the user felt when the Custom Hero was released. The user probably felt stupid for making such a bold claim with no evidence
