I wake up to the smell of a burning out the fire. It was raining, I realized. I sigh and pull the hoodie over my head. It was getting colder, when I breathed out I could see the smoke form of my breath... My head ached when I opened my eyes, and I looked up to the sky to see raindrops falling down. It would probably be freezing.

The weather had been changing the whole time of course. Niommi was waiting for me, standing across the fire and sharpening a piece of wood. She sets the wood down into the fire pit as a marker. "We're almost there."

I stand and we began to move again. My friends... I would find them soon. I ate the deer meat Niommi had given me, and I tilted my head back with my mouth open as it rained.

Something I had always done as a child. I used to feel stupid afterward, but not this time, my throat was dry and parched.

I killed the walker that had been moving towards me. It had been three days. Would we ever be there? I was happier than ever. I would see my friends again. I was running now, Niommi walking to catch up.

The gift shop was still there, good as day. However, Jone and Luis weren't guarding the doors.

I open the door, and I gasp. The gift shop was dark and empty. No one was here. No one.. the pit of fire had been burned out, the sleeping mats were gone. The aisle had been cleared out. "No..." I say softly, walking into the gift shop. Niommi walks in behind me, and I fall to the floor, tears welling in my eyes.

"I guess I've lost everyone that I was connected with," I say aloud, tears slipping over my cheeks. "Lara." I look up to see Niommi holding a note. I stand and nearly trip over my own feet to see the note.

We have survived, and the walker herd has seemed to past through us. I am taking the group of survivors to ArringTon. Please tell Lara I'm alive. ~Hunter

"H-Hunter... he's.. he's alive.." I whisper, I grab the note and read over it to make sure I was reading it correctly.

"We have to go to ArringTon!" I say, and I place the note in my pocket and pointing to the door. "Do you know where it is?" I ask,

She shakes her head. I sigh, annoyed and determined. "We.. we.." I look around. Which way was ArringTon? Were there maps in here? I searched the empty shelves, Niommi just stood there as if she were debating on something.

"I know someone.. they have a map and maybe even instructions." Niommi interrupts me. I drop the container I was holding.

"You know someone? Who is it?"

She sighs and loads her shotgun. "An idiot.. but he can help us." She says, her voice quiet. "Let's find him." I breathe.

••••••••

We headed the same way we had found the medicine, the same way Wells had attacked me. I was tired of moving through the woods, too many walkers would make there way into the woods. Who was the guy she knew? Niommi forced me down and I realized we had wandered right into a walker herd. Not right into it, but it was heading the opposite way.

I curse and I back away. The walker I bumped into had turned around, and Niommi quickly killed him, smothering him with her leather jacket. He hit the ground and we ran, taking a detour. We finally are clear of the walker herd, I could still hear them groaning. So many of them... had they come from... the camp? The camp with all the walkers around the fence?

We were clearing out of the woods, killing the couple of walkers that had surrounded the woods. The herd must've just left this place.

We made it to the same car the same one where we were going to get medicine, it had stopped raining, and the same ribbon the smoke from last time was there. Was that the guy?

"The town is filled with walkers.. we have to be careful." She says, cleaning off her knife. I nod, and we were entering the town.

I couldn't believe Hunter was alive. I stepped past a car and noticed the walker that was trapped in the car.

I stepped away as the walker reached for me, groaning. I wonder who that walker used to be. Niommi squats and pulls an arrow, launching it into her bow.

She kills a walker and kills the next one. "I see you found the other bow and arrow." She says, turning to me. I nod.

"Test it out." She says. I nod and I squat too and pull the bow and arrow from its holder. I place the arrow in the bow and aim at the walker. I finally manage to shoot the arrow, and it hits the walker in the leg.

"Dang it," I whisper.

"Try again. It'll get easier." She tells me, her voice quiet. I nod and try again, this time it hits the walker's thigh and it growls and walks towards us. It was pretty far away, so I began to load my bow again, but then an arrow sails through the air and shoots the walker right in the head.

I tense up, and quickly search around. I look at Niommi, but it wasn't her that had shot the arrow. Everything went silent. Something I hadn't seen in what seemed like years came out.

An animal. A dog. Suddenly a dog, a German Shepard runs out and a man walks from one of the buildings, he was holding a bow and arrow with a skull painting on it. He was wearing a bandana that was covering his mouth, a black jacket, and jeans. He removes his hoodie, revealing a head full of raven black hair. He seems to be laughing.

I was trying to translate whether he was an enemy or not.

He was pretty far away, but I could see him. I quickly reload my arrow but Niommi stops me and I raise my eyebrow. The guy's laugh grows louder.

"That's him."

He turns toward us and his loud voice fills my ears.

"Niommi Babe! Where have you been?"
