Chapter 51: The Dragons

HEY WELL I'M BACK AND I'M GUESSING YOU'VE KIND OF GUESSED BY THE TITLE OF THIS CHAPTER THAT SOMEONE MAKES A COMEBACK. OH AND ONCE AGAIN I'M SORRY I KILLED LUCY OFF, I'LL MAKE IT UP TO YOU GUYS SOMEHOW.

(Third Person POV)

   Everyone stopped breathing, everyone except Ronin and Zeref. The smoke started to fade into the air, everyone expected to see Lucy standing strong but she was nowhere to be seen.

   "Such a pity. I was hoping it would be harder to kill her." Zeref shrugged.

   "It is." A powerful kick was sent to Zeref making him fly to the other side of the peak. A blur following him then punched him to the ground. After everything slowed down there stood Lucy standing as strong as ever and eyes that could kill if you made contact with them.

   "How?" Ronin gasped as Zeref painfully stood up. "Oh like this." Lucy turned around to reveal Happy and Charles both on her back. "They got me just at the last second. Thanks guys." Lucy explained. "No problem, now kick their butts Lushie!" Happy cheered going back to Gray, while Charles went back to Wendy. 

   "Hey now that I think about it, where's all the others?" Gray questioned. "Oh, well you see we have a couple of friends down at the bottom giving your friends a proper greeting." Ronin sneered.

   Zeref now gained his composure. "It's true. Unless your friends have mastered their magic, they'll die." He said bluntly. "Shut up!" Natsu yelled. "In Fairy Tail we're taught to work hard to succeed. In other words, we will keep fighting until we win!" 

   Natsu was pissed off. Nobody insults his friends like that. Lucy looked at the enraged pyro. 'His instincts to protect his loved ones are coming out.' Lucy thought.

   "Lightning Fire Dragon's Firing Hammer!" Natsu charged. "Draco, lend me your strength." Lucy called with one hand in the air, she then also charged at Zeref. 

   Zeref dodged all of their attacks, but stopped using his own attack. Lucy took notice to this but continued to attack. Natsu went in to punch Zeref but he caught his fist. Lucy went to kick Zeref and he jumped out of the way, catching her leg in the process.

   "I'm bored." Zeref grumbled. Lucy snapped. She jumped kicking Zeref in the face with her other foot, causing Zeref to release the limbs he was holding. Natsu took advantage of the moment. "Dragon Slayers Secret Art, Crimson Lotus: Exploding Lightning Blade!"

  Zeref was engulfed in a series of lightning and flames. Natsu, who was depleted of magic transferred out of his Lightning Fire Dragon Mode, and Lucy smiled when they heard Zeref howl in pain. 

   Zeref cussed as he stood up and wobbled. His bloody eyes were filled with anger and a dark aura surrounded him. He swiped both his arms in a circular motion until the heel of his hands connected. The top hand had the index and middle fingers pointing upwards, while the bottom  had the pinky and index fingers pointing downwards. "Death Pillar."

   The duo froze as they looked up to see the attack coming. "Run!" Lucy shouted. Both of them ran but it was too late, they were done for; or so they thought. Natsu shielded Lucy with his body, both of them shaking and waiting for the pain of the attack. But the attack never reached them. Lucy was the first to see why. There were three dragons roaring their magic and cancelled out the pillar of darkness.

   Once everything cleared the dragons looked down at the mages at the bottom, then back to the small group on the mountain. They were then swallowed by a bright light, when it faded there stood a blue haired woman, red haired man, and a silver haired man with thousands of piercings.

   "Igneel!" Natsu cheered. "Mom!" Wendy gasped. "Who are you?" Lucy asked the third person. "I'm Metalicana, screw heads dad." The man grunted. "Ah so you're metal dick's dad." Natsu commented. "Sadly." Metalicana joked but he sounded so serious no one could tell.

   Igneel walked to Natsu. "Drink this my boy. Drink it and kick Zeref's ass!" He ordered. Natsu smiled and drank the potion. The three dragons then went to the edge of the mountain. "We'll help out down there." Grandine said. "You got everything under control here." Metalicana grunted. "KICK THEIR ASSES!" Igneel roared with a stupid smile. Both Grandine and Metalicana punched him with a tick mark on their foreheads. They went to the trail to the bottom to help the ones at the base of the mountain.

   Zeref glared at Igneel as he exited the scene, his eyes burning with hatred. 'If only he hadn't taken what was mine none of this would be happening. Damn him.' Zeref thought.

   "Alright!" Natsu reared full of energy once again. "Black Fire Dragon Mode!" Black Energy surrounded him and his hands were engulfed in flames. "Ursa Major! Lupus! Taurus! Lend me your power!" Lucy called our and was surrounded by her own golden energy.

   Lucy and Natsu charged towards Zeref who was taken aback by the magic power resonating off the two mages. It almost seemed as if they hadn't used any magic power at all. As if they were on full power.

   They clashed, Zeref blocking some attacks, while others hit with a great force. With surprising endurance the duo kept attacking, Zeref was able to barely call out an attack. "Death Predation!" He shouted quickly. Dark magic shot out and the two jumped out of the way but were still pushed back by the force.

   Zeref panted and quickly checked his body for the remainders of Natsu and Lucy's hits. His rib was broken, his clothes and body were burned, bruises everywhere and blood trickled down his face.

   "Well that took an unexpected turn." Zeref whispered to himself quietly. He looked over at Ronin to see him get hit with ice, swords, and wind attacks. Ronin was drained of magic and was about to go down any second now. 

   Zeref turned back to Natsu and Lucy who were also panting but otherwise looked fine. "Kudos to you. I never imagined that you two would get this far." Zeref complimented. "Shut up!" Lucy screamed except not from the Lucy in front of him but the one behind him. She kicked him at his legs causing him to fly in the air then she punched him to the ground with great force.

   "C-can th...is be Gemini's p-power?" Zeref grunted staying on his back. "Yes it is." The Lucy beside Natsu dissolved and he watched with a surprise face. Lucy stood above Zeref with clenched fists, ready to give the final blow. "Any last words?" Lucy asked.

   Zeref smirked. "Vnus Magnus ignis Demon exaudi postulant. Ex tuum sopor, surge, et tollere lucem. Invocans te domino. Rise Etherious Natsu Dragneel." 

   Lucy's eyes went wide. She's seen this scene before, in a nightmare. The atmosphere became hot, she knew what was happening next.

Her nightmare was coming true.

WELL I HOPE BRINGING LUCY BACK WAS GOOD ENOUGH OF A RETURN FOR KILLING HER OFF. AND HEY THE DRAGONS FINALLY CAME BACK ALTHOUGH I DIDN'T REALLY MAKE IT CLEAR AS TO WHY THEY LEFT. BASICALLY THEY LEFT TO MAKE THAT POTION FOR NATSU AND TO GAIN THE POWER TO TRANSFORM INTO THEIR DRAGON FORMS AGAIN.

TRANSLATION (SORRY IF IT'S OFF): One Great fire Demon hear demand. From your sleep, get up and take the light. Calling you to. Rise Etherious Natsu Dragneel.
