Chapter 23: The Truth

(Lucy POV)

   "What do you mean, foster sister? I was't adopted." Wendy stated. I looked at Natsu who was sweating bullets. I looked at him with an evil glare. "Yeah Natsu, what DO you mean foster sister?" Natsu pulled at the collar of his shirt and gulped. "Is i-it hot in h-here, o-or is it j-just me?" He sputtered. "Natsu Dragneel tell me the truth otherwise I will never trust you ever again!!" I shrieked making everyone take a step back.

(Natsu POV)

   I took a step back, I can't stand it when she yells. It's so full of pain and sadness and I'm the one who has to take her pain and sadness away; it's my job as her mate and her dragon companion to defeat evil. That's besides the point though, right now I have to get out of this lie and sadly tell the truth to everyone. I already know how this is  going to go. I tell the truth, mom hurts me, Lucy's gonna tear up, Pops is going to smack me and Wendy is going to pout with her hands on her hips. Trust me, I know.

   "Okay so first off, Lucy, Igneel is my real dad. I'm sorry I lied to you about that. Grandine is Wendy's real mom, sorry for lying about that too. Igneel and Grandine got married, so Wendy is just my step-sister. I'm so very sorry I lied to you, I just didn't know if I could trust you so I made up lies about my life. Anything else?" I explained. Mom walked up to me and punched my arm, called it. "N-Natsu, why didn't you just tell me the truth from the start?" Lucy asked with teary eyes. Called it again. "Can't believe you lied to your mate, dumb ass." Pops said smacking my head so hard that I fell down; called that too. Wendy stuck out her bottom lip in a pout and put her hands on her hips. "Is there anything else you'd like to tell Lucy?" Wendy asked. And oh would you look at that, called that too. 

   "Well I would like an explanation on Zeref and everything that is happening." Lucy said with her tears disappearing. Good thing too, I hate it when she cries. "Oh. Well Zeref is the most powerful dark wizard in the world, there are other wizards besides him, like us." I pointed to my family. "Your're the one who's supposed to defeat Zeref with the help of the dragon king heir, which is me. We have to train you, so you can control your power and-" "What exactly is my power?" Lucy asked tilting her head to the side. KAWAII!

   "Oh well it's called the Stellar Magic. Basically you have an unfathomable amount of music magic and when you sing or play an instrument it does whatever magic you want it to by thinking it. Take your dream for example, the garden died and you sang, while you were singing you were unconsciously thinking of either healing or plant magic." I explained to a confused Lucy. "Okay so what kind of power do you have?" Lucy asked. "I have kinda have a lost magic, Fire Dragon Slayer magic." I said lighting my hand on fire. Lucy stared at my hand, saying nothing. My flames' reflection danced in her chocolate eyes, it was like she was mesmerized by them. Suddenly she fell asleep, I don't blame her. It's been a long day for her. I put out my fire and tucked Lucy in, kissing her head i whisper, "Good night."

THAT'S IT FOR THIS CHAPTER. SORRY IT'S KIND OF SHORT BUT NEXT TIME IT WON'T. IT'LL BE THE SAME LENGTH AS IT USUALLY IS IN THE NEXT TIME. I KIND OF HAD TO HURRY UP DURING THE END AND I SWEAR I WAS TYPING FASTER THAN I HAVE EVER TYPED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.
