47 - Dinner Date?

"Ayan mga dabarkads, natapos na naman po ang isang episode ng Cooking with Chef Elize and Ryzza. May poging special guest pa tayo." Ryzza looked at the FD who is signaling that there's still time and to stretch the last segment.

"Chef, puwede po ba ako naman ang mag-interview sa guest natin?"

"Sure, sure Ryzza. Go ahead." Meng did the interview with RJ while they were cooking today's recipe to the delight of the audience.

Ryzza read RJ's name from her cue card. "Professor Richard James Faulkerson, ang haba naman po! Wala bang mas maikli? Ano pong puwede kong itawag sa inyo?"

"Kuya RJ na lang Ryzza."

"Kuya RJ, binata pa po ba kayo? Saka ilang taon na po kayo?"

RJ smiled at the question, his dimple showing. "Ha? Oo, binatang-binata. 25 years old na po ako aleng maliit."

"Aaah...oh mga dabarkads binata daw si Kuya RJ! Marami pong single dito sa audience natin. Yung mga ate nung mga kids. Ano naman po ang hinahanap n'yo sa mapapangasawa n'yo?"

Meng can't help reacting. "Ryzza, asawa agad-agad? Nasa cooking show tayo, hindi ito dating show."

Ryzza giggled. The audience are now laughing knowing the blind items and photos of the two circulating in social media. "Chef, bakit ikaw po ang sumasagot? Kuya RJ, si Chef Elize, single yan!"

"Sasagutin ko yung tanong mo Ryzza. Gusto ko yung magaling magluto saka yung mukhang prinsesa." He looked at Meng as he answered.

"Kuya RJ, yun po bang Chef na naka-Mindanao princess ang suot?"

"Puwede! Kung papayag siya." He kept looking at her. The audience now errupting in cheer and kilig.

Ryzza seeing her Ate Meng's cheeks, continued to tease her, clapping her hands "Yihee! Bakit ka nagbublush Chef? Mga dabarkads, nagbublush si Chef!"

Ano ba Ricardo, huwag dito! giving him a warning glance. Saved by the bell, Meng saw the cue from the FD. She then faced the audience. "Mga dabarkads, that ends our show. Bye!"

RJ waited for Meng at the basement parking as she wraps up in the studio, mingling with some of the fans first and talking to the creative team for the plan for the next episode. It's a Friday so everyone is wishing everybody a happy weekend. It's already 5pm.

Meng went inside her van, which circled the parking, stopped by RJ's pickup truck so she could transfer.

"O, bakit umalis na sila? Hindi natin kasama si Kuya Paolo?"

"Pinauna ko na sila ni Kuya Henry. Ihahatid mo naman ako diba?"

"Puwede rin kitang iuwi sa Laguna." he mumbled while pulling out of the parking

"Ano sabi mo?"

"Sabi ko, kahit sa Bulacan puwede kitang ihatid. Tutal weekend naman bukas."

"Parang iba narinig ko. Magkaiba yata sound ng Laguna at Bulacan."

"Eh dahil tayong dalawa lang, baka naman puwedeng dinner na yan?" he tried, nagbabakasakali lang naman.

"Okay." she readily agreed.

"Okay? Payag ka? Talaga?" he almost stepped on the break, startled by her answer.

"Opo! At aba, dapat mo talaga kong pakainin, dalawang araw mo kong nakunsume."
