After about an hour Dr. Irwin came back in the waiting room.
Luke instantly stood up.
"Is he okay?"
"Yes he's stable now, but he'll have to stay here for a few days just to make sure everything is fine."
"O-okay.
Can I go visit now?"
"Sure."
Karen stood up and followed Luke down the same hellish hallway.
They stopped at his door and Karen nudged Luke to go in.
He twisted the doorknob and pushed the door open.
It was honestly heartbreaking to see someone you love in such a terrible condition.
But at least he was alive.
"Mikey..are you awake?"
Luke asked quietly incase he actually was asleep.
"I'm up."
Luke quickly ran over hugging him.
"Thank you."
"For what?"
"For staying strong for me.
It's all I wanted."
Luke smiled and Michael smiled.
"I did it, didn't I?"
"Yeah baby, you did."
Luke leaned in bringing his lips to Michael's.
It was just something short, something chaste, just a reminder that Luke loves Michael.
And that's pretty much all Michael could ask for.
