As soon as we got home from work at 3:30, Avery and I got to work on our lasagna. "No, you have to keep mixing it until it gets thicker!" Avery argued with me as I frantically started mixing again. "They're going to be here in an hour. Just put the sauce on quickly and stick it in the oven," I said as I began to stick things into the dishwasher. Ave and I both ran to freshen up for our guests. Well, I was freshening up. Avery claimed that she needs to "look presentable" so she "won't scare Dan away." "Yeah right," I said to myself as she walked into her room. "I heard that!" Ave screamed. All I could do was laugh as I put on a bit of makeup and brushed my teeth.
"Something smells great in here," said Dan when I opened the door. He picked me up and spun me around once, but Luke quickly ruined the cute moment. "So when can we start eating?" "You're such a pig," Ave mumbled quietly as she entered the room. Luckily, Luke didn't hear her. Luke looked at her direction a gawked a bit. She was wearing a short black dress and a tiny bit of makeup. No wonder why Luke had that reaction; she looked amazing. "Hey Dan. Hey Luke. Do you guys want something to drink while we wait for dinner to cool off a bit?" Avery said politely. Dan looked at her amused before nodding. When Avery walked into the kitchen I whispered into Dan's ears, "she's trying to be nice today."
We then looked over at Luke who was still looking at Ave. Avery walked back in with four cans of sprite and put them on the coffee table. I quickly drank mine before running into the kitchen to help Avery set the table. "Finally!" Luke said excitedly as he walked into the dining area that revealed a magazine-worthy lasagna on the table. I took a seat in front of Dan and Avery took one in front of Luke. We all started filling up our plates when all hell broke loose.
"Ouch! You just freaking stabbed me!" Luke shouted while holding his hand. "I was trying to get salad! You're the one who got in the way!" Avery screamed back at Luke. "I was picking it up first! You couldn't have waited?" Luke said. "You weren't using any utensils! You brought this on yourself-" Avery was cut off by a piece of salad hitting her face from a smirking Luke. Dan and I looked at each other and slowly moved our chairs back.
"You... Just threw... Salad... In my face," Avery said furiously. "Yup,"
Luke said while popping the P. "Just like I threw lasagna at yours," Avery said. Luke was going to retort but a piece of lasagna hit his face before he could. Before Dan or I could say anything, half of their plates were on each other, the table, the walls, and Dan and I.
"Calm down!" I screamed as I grabbed onto Avery's arm and Dan onto Luke's.
"Sky and I are going to leave for a few hours. I want this back to normal by then," Dan said in his teacher voice. I couldn't help but giggle, which got me weird looks. "Yeah, you guys need to learn how to be civil around each other. I'll see you both later and you better not be fighting!" I said strongly as I took Dan's hand and led him towards my room with our intact plates of lasagna in hand. We finished our lasagna in my room and made bets on whether or not the place would be clean or even more destroyed when we got back. I had a feeling that Luke would ditch and we'd return to an angry Avery cleaning up by herself. Dan thought that Luke would still be there, but they'd still be yelling at each other. When we finished our food, Dan and I went into the washroom to brush our teeth.
When we came out, Avery and Luke weren't in the kitchen anymore, but I heard Luke complaining about something in Ave's washroom. We bumped into Ave holding medical supplies. "I apparently stabbed him pretty badly," she said sheepishly before making her way back to her washroom. Dan and I shrugged our shoulders before we left the apartment.

Dan and I went out back to his condo for a while. It's a bit bigger than my apartment, but it isn't even close to being as high up. He gave me the tour and told me to hold my breath while walking through Luke's room because he's a really unorganized person. He wasn't joking. Luke's room had huge piles of clothing on every piece of furniture including his bed and desk chair. I don't know how he lives in there. Dan's room on the other hand is really neat, but his closet is a disaster. I made a mental note to organize it really soon. Dan and I cuddled in his room and caught up with what happened all week. I told him about dinner yesterday and what happened with Brittany in the cafeteria. He laughed at what Avery had done and explained that he had seen everything, but couldn't hear it. Before leaving we ate ice-cream (chocolate with cookie dough, of course) and headed down to the parking lot. We came back to my apartment and walked inside. I went to check if everything was cleaned up and neither Avery nor Luke had killed one another.
