Eventually, Peeta and I became grandparents. Willow had married Noah. They currently have two kids and one on the way: Finnick Jr and Violet. Rye had married Gale's niece, Rose, recently and they were already planning on having kids. Avan became Beetee's apprentice and got a great job working with him. 

I stood in Violet's nursery rocking Violet back and forth in my arms, like when I used to lull Willow to sleep. I sang a song softly as Violet began to doze off.

I'm glad I fought for my happiness. I'm glad I fought for this. Maybe forgetting the fires we've started isn't what I want to do after all. I've spent my life running—running for survival, running from love, running away from myself. The fires burned away the torture and pain.
