Chapter 27:
*6 Months Later*
Johanna had her baby. It was a boy. Johanna did eventually tell Gale about her past and the story of Avan. It was Gale's idea to name the baby Avan.
I, on the other hand, feel like I am about to explode. It's a terrible thing to say, but I want this baby out of me already. I'm always uncomfortable. I have to pee every twenty minutes and I am always a bitch to everyone. I can't help it.
Peeta hasn't had any episodes recently, but Haymitch cautions me for the sake of the baby. Effie is praying it's a girl so she can buy tiny designer dresses. I just let her fantasize about it because it makes her happy. Realistically, there's no way I'm gonna let that happen. My kid can walk around in a tiny brown leather jacket like me! What has gotten into me?
"Peeta!" I snapped.
"Yes, what is it my loving wife?"
I crossed my arms and gave him a look. "I want to go for a walk."
"Okay then." He grabbed my coat and helped me put it on.
We walked around the path by the fountain. I thought about the water—cool, clear, wet...everywhere...
"I think my water just broke."
