Everyone expects James Sirius to be just like his namesake, a tad bit arrogant, a joker and definitely a prankster who didn't care much for his studies. But what if James was the bookworm that would spend his free time in the library and know lots of random facts about everything? The one that would find something soothing in a good book.

To be honest, I like it better like that, when the characters aren't so predictable and in a way even forced or expected to be like their namesakes. James II didn't want to be the ghost of his namesake, he didn't want to be always overshadowed and expected to do everything like his paternal grandfather. He wanted to have his own life, and the control of what he did and spent his time at.
