Hugo was just as bright as his mother. If not more. But under the excellent grades, good looks and maturity of his elder sister, Rose, he didn't seem like much. Everyone failed to notice, except Lily, she encouraged him to show the world what he was capable of doing. Hugo was rather quiet in crowds, quite the opposite of his cousin Lily, and was often underestimated.
