Rose and Hugo attended a muggle primary school before Hogwarts. The rest of the cousins were taught basic english and maths skills by Aunt Hermione for a few hours several times a week. Hermione loved teaching them and over the years, a bond formed between her and the Wotter children. Making her closer to them than an aunt would normally be. They told her lots of things and she always found a way to make them feel excited about coming to her lessons. After Year 4 (3rd Grade for you americans) Hugo stopped attending his muggle school and like his other cousins got taught by his mother. But Rose liked it there, away from her family for a while, and stayed until Hogwarts.
