Chapter Ninety-Two: Too Fast

"Wait." He pulled away, stroking her cheek with his thumb.

"What? What's wrong?" Her eyes searched his frantically, "Did I do something?"

"No! No, no . . . You don't think we're, I don't know, going too fast?"

The panic faded from her eyes, "We're just kissing."

"Yeah, but aren't we supposed to go on dates and stuff? Romantic gestures, flowers, etc."

She snorted, "What would you call our weekly coffee shop visits?"

A blush creeped up his neck, as he stuttered a response, "uh, no, you're right I-I don't know what I was-"

"Noah," she cut in gently, "I'd love to go on a date. But it's already eleven thirty."

"Our city rarely sleeps." He suggested with a grin, taking both her hands in his and pulling her towards the door.

"Fits my schedule." She laughed, and grabbed her coat on the way out.
