This time he didn't reciprocate. He pulled back, but had no way to get her off his lap.

"What are you doing?" He exclaimed.

"What am I doing? I am doing what I have wanted to do since the day we met. You are single, I am sober, and I need to kiss you. For real."

    "I thought-"

    "I don't care if I'm your rebound, I don't care anymore."

"Mia," he sighed, "Please don't do this."

"Why? We have nothing to loose, at least not anymore. Our friendship is in ruins, your relationship with Juliana is over. There are no more obsticles. So stop trying to find new ones."

He couldn't say anything. All he could think of were Gemma's bright, beautiful eyes, . . .

But soon those eyes morphed, morphed into a stunning blue, the same blue he was staring into. Gemma was forgotten from the present, as this blue consumed him. It blinded him, clouded his thoughts. He was drowning, and not for the first time.

Because when she kissed him again, he reciprocated.
