Chapter 8

* Caspar's POV * 

Summer had fallen asleep on my shoulder earlier. Most of the time, when someone fell asleep on me,  I felt really uncomfortable. But with her, it felt warm, wanted and almost loving. Then the whole trick with Alfie on camera, her laugh was magical. It filled the cabin and instantly made me smile more. She was amazing. I glanced over to her, she was playing a game on her phone, face full of concentration. The morning light from the window shone on her face, illuminating every freckle and imperfection on her skin. Even with no effort made, she still managed to look beautiful. I was still inspecting her face, when a voice broke through my thoughts;

"Excuse me?" I turned to see a young girl, maybe 14/15 standing next to my seat. She looked tired, since it was early morning. I had no doubt I looked the same.

"Hello!" I smiled. "Is there something I can help you with?" 

"Yes! You're Caspar Lee aren't you?" She smiled, slightly excited.

"I sure am! Are you a viewer?" 

"Yes! Oh my gosh you're like my favourite person ever! I love you so much! Can I get an autograph and a photo please?!" She blurted out. I loved it when my viewers came up to me and weren't nervous! This girl was quite pretty, she had sparkling blue eyes and her light blonde hair was tied to the side in a braid.

"Of course you can!" I looked over to Summer, who was now staring at the whole encounter. "Do you mind taking the picture Sum?" 

"Sure." She politely smiled and took the girls camera.

"OH MY GOSH SUMMER BUTLER TOO. THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER. OH MY GOD YOU GUYS HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I WORSHIP YOU!" 

Summer softly giggled and angled herself to take the photo. The young girl leaned down to get in frame and I put on my best smile waiting for the flash. It went off and the girl squealed in my ear. I flinched slightly, but not for her to notice.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Kelsey!" she replied. Damn this girl had a lot of energy for this early in the morning. Taking the small notebook and pen she was carrying, I signed it and passed it over to Summer who mirrored my actions with her own signature. She then handed it back to the girl who looked like she was going to faint any moment. 

"THANK YOU SO SO MUCH. I'll leave you in peace now, BYE!" she said and was turning to leave, when she squealed again. "OH MY GOSH MARCUS AND ALFIE." Yup, she spotted them. I turned my head to see Summer laughing at Alfie's startled face. They signed the same notebook, took the photos and heavily breathed out when Kelsey had left.

Aflie and Summer were now in an in depth conversation that I couldn't quite make out what they were saying, since I had my iPod in. They both looked really relaxed and every now and then Summer would giggle slightly and unconciously twirl her hair. Does Summer like Aflie? No she can't, he's Marcus' best friend, don't be stupid. But still, I carried on watching their exchange, both smiling and laughing with eachother. I couldn't help but feel a little jealous. Why am I jealous, I've only known her for a few days, it's not like I'm in love with her or anything... I popped out one earphone just in time to hear a deep voice rumble through the plane, Summer's head swiftly turning at the sound: 

"Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. I'm happy to inform you we will be landing in Florida soon so please return to your seats, buckle up your belts and prepare for landing." 

Summer's face instantly transformed into a beaming smile. She looked straight at me, eyes sparkling with excitement.

"We're here Caspar! Oh my gosh we're in America!" I laughed at her adorable excitement.

"We're not quite there yet, Sum. We still have to land first!" 

"I know, I know! I'm just so excited!" she bounced up and down in her seat like a little kid on Christmas morning. 

"Why are you so happy? You haven't had any coffee yet!" Marcus yelled from over the seat.

"Yes I have! You were asleep because you're lazy!" She replied. I shook my head and chuckled at their cousin humour. It must be pretty fun to be a Butler...OH! That reminds me, I need to ring my mum as soon as we land!

 "Yeah we've just landed!" I spoke into my phone.

"How was the flight? Did it go okay?" She asked.

"Yeah Mum, it was fine."

"Good! I miss you loads Cas!" my mum replied. She's always one to be soppy and sweet, but that's why I love her!

 "I miss you too Mum, I'll see you soon though okay?"

"Okay! Love you!"

"Love you too Mum, bye!" I said, whilst pressing the end button. We had just been to collect our bags and we're now trying to find Jack and Finn's big bus of a car. They were giving us a lift to our hotel we were all staying at, but they don't seem to be here yet. I was stood on the curb, whilst the other three were sitting with their backs up against the building. I felt someone grab my arm, turning my head at the sudden touch. I saw Summer's face as I looked down...she looks worried? 

"Is everything okay?" I asked.

"I'm really nervous to meet everyone. I mean, what if they don't like me?" She whispered, obviously not wanting Marcus and Alfie to hear. It was so sweet that she was worried about what all the guys (and girls) are going to think of her.

"What are you talking about? Of course they're going to like you! Why wouldn't they?" I replied.

"Well, you know. I'm not one of 'the crew'" She said, fingers quoting the words 'the crew'.

"You're a part of it now! Come on Summer, you don't need to worry." I said, pulling her into an embrace. She rested her head on my chest and sighed heavily. I couldn't help but think how perfectly she fit into my arms. "What's not to love about you? You're sweet....funny....kind....and gorgeous! You're going to fit in perfectly! And if they don't like you, well then that's tough because you're here to stay and you're always going to have me." She looked up at me, shyly smiling. Her cheeks were slowly turning pink. I find it adorable when girls blush...especially Summer.

"No one's ever said anything that sweet to me before. Thank you Caspar."

"You're welcome. I meant every word of it too!" I said and lent down to give her a peck on the cheek, only causing her cheeks to flush an even deeper shade of pink.

"Woah, woah, woah. What's going on over there?!" Marcus' booming voice came from behind. Me and Summer quickly removed ourselves from eachother, awkwardly laughing.

"Well?" repeated Marcus. "There better not be something going on between you two! I swear to God Caspar I will kick your arse if -"

"Woah Marcy, chill! Nothing's going on! Caspar was just trying to make me feel better!" Summer said, raising her hands infront of her. 

"Why, what's wrong?" Alfie asked, looking concerned.

"Oh it's nothing! I was just still a bit shaken up from the plane, that's all!" she replied. Damn this girl knew how to wing it!

"Oh okay then. Look, Jack and Finn are here, lets get our stuff together!" Marcus said, oblivious to Summer's worries. As soon as both the boys backs were turned, I looked over to Summer and mouthed 'well played Butler'. She cheekily winked at me and smiled. Laughing at her adorable ways, I turned round to collect my stuff, only to be swarmed into a massive twin sandwich...
