Playlist Love (A Caspar Lee Fanfiction)

Chapter 2

I spent the next few days just relaxing, planning my next video and drinking A LOT of coffee. I have a strange obsession with coffee, it just tastes so damn good. I looked over at the clock...1pm. Right I have 2 hours to get ready for my Nan's 80th birthday party. The first thing I need to do is shower...no wait, the first thing I need is a cup of coffee. I ran down the stairs, still in my pyjamas.

"Oh my God, she's awake!" I heard my sister call from the lounge.

"Wow, Liv, when did you become such a world class comedian?" I replied. Yup. i'm cranky before my coffee. I heard a male laugh come from the direction of the lounge. "Hi, Dylan!" I called out to my sister's boyfriend.

"Hey Summer." I flicked the switch on the kettle and started searching for some food. I grunted. All our cupboards were practically empty.

"WE. HAVE. NO. FOOD! WHAT THE HECK? ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME?" I screamed, running into the living room. Olivia burst out laughing, whilst Dylan looked a tiny bit scared. I 

"Calm down you mug!" she said, still laughing. "Since some of us actually got out of bed in the morning, so we went down to McDonalds and got you some pancakes." I gasped.

"OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD. YOU'RE THE BEST SISTER EVER. I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU OH SO MUCH." I said whilst enveloping her in a bone crushing hug. 

"Yeah yeah yeah, just go get coffee you freak." 

I skipped into the kitchen, grabbed a cup from the cupboard and filled it with coffee. Where was this McDonalds then? I started to think she had tricked me, before I spotted the little brown bag with the logo on in the corner. Yay! I ate my pancakes, covered in a sweet syrup quicker than a cheetah on steroids and washed it down with the warm taste of my coffee. I gave a satisfied sigh and walked back into the living room, calmer than before.

"Are we back to normal now?" Dylan asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yup. Fine and dandy." I replied, falling back into the sofa and slipping my feet up on the coffee table. "So Liv, what time are we leaving for Nan's?" 

"Urm...in about 45mins. So I suggest you go and shower now." And with that, my fluffy sock covered feet were up the stairs.

Shower, done. Clothes, done. Hair, done. I'd gone for a cute, flowery dress that fell just above my knees and a pair of gladiator sandals. The weather was quite nice, so I didn't think I'd need a coat. My hair was in soft curls, with the two front pieces of my hair twisted and clipped back. I wasn't really big on makeup, so I'd just gone for a few coats of mascara, a light bronze blush and some clear lip gloss. Right now, all three of us were in Liv's car on our way. Dylan was trying to drive one-handed, with the other hand covering his ear as me and Liv were singing/screaming our hearts out to One Direction. 

"AND LET ME KISS YOU." i screamed as the song ended. The drive was around 30mins long, which mostly consisted of me and Olivia deafening Dylan. We pulled up outside my Nan's litte bungalow and climbed out of the car. Some cars were already parked which meant some people were already here. I recognised a few of them, but noone really exciting was here yet. As soon as that though had entered my head, the sounds of tyres pulling up on the drive snapped me back to reality. I turned and saw the car I was most excited to see. I was bouncing on my toes as I waited for my older cousin to get out. 

"MARCUS!" I yelled running over to him. He opened his arms as soon as he saw me and I jumped straight into them.

"SUMMER! How've you been?" 

"Good thanks!" I said, smiling as I took a step back to look at him. His browny-blonde hair was spiked up in his usual style and he obviously had contacts in as he didnt have his glasses on. I was so engrossed in our greeting that I hadn't noticed the two other boys with him. The sound of a car door slamming made me jump. One of them I recognised as Alfie, Marcus' best friend. I smiled at him and gave him a hug too.

"Hey Summer!" he grinned.

"Hey Alfie! I swear I haven't seen you in ages!"

"Yeah, it's been a while! How's the channel going?"

"Great actually!" I was just about to tell him about my new video when I heard Marcus', not so subtly, clear his throat. That's when I noticed the other boy who had gotten out of the vehicle. Wow. He was...hot. 

"Summer, this is Caspar. He's just moved in with Alfie." Marcus pointed.

"Hi my name is Caspar Lee!" the new boy said, extending a hand out to me, Wow, cute accent.

"Hey, I'm Marcus' cousin Summer." I smiled and shook his hand politely. 

"Well it's nice to meet you!" 

"Like wise! So you're clearly not from round here, judging by your accent." I laughed.

"Nope. I get bullied by these two because I'm from South Africa." He then started fake crying on Alfie's shoulder. Well this took an unexpected turn. I couldn't help but giggle. He was so cute.

"Summer! Marcus! Are you going to spend the whole day out there or are you going to come in and socialise?!" I heard my aunt call from inside.

"Shall we?" Marcus asked, offering his arm out to me.

"We shall." I took his arm and began walking. I could feel a pair of eyes burning into my back, so I turned my head and saw Caspar staring at my bum. I gave it a small wiggle and his eyes shot up to meet mine. His cheeks flushed red. I just laughed and gave him a cheeky wink before he began laughing too.

The party was pretty dull to be honest. Just a bunch of old family members telling me how much I was growing into a 'fine young woman'. They'd seen me a few months ago, I couldn't have changed that much! I spent most of my time eating and talking to Marcus, Liv and Dylan. But every now and then, I couldn't help but steal a quick glance at Caspar. He seemed different to Marcus' other friends I'd met. I'd asked him if he was also going to Playlist Live and he said yes. I don't know why, but I got a little excited about his answer. He was so funny and sweet! I had a feeling we were going to be great friends...
