I waited for the elevator. I was still shocked after my encounter with Maya. Her smile was just..oh my god.

Words couldn't even describe it.

But i wasn't falling for her. I barely knew her

Anyways, I got to Oakland and parked my car outside the Vet's office.

Another day. Another day of work.

I had a lot of patients today but I never minded. I loved animals and I loved helping people.

It was just something that has been in my system for my whole life.

"Doctor Friar, we have a dog thats about to give birth. Im sending them in now!" the nurse said.

"Let them in now!"

I helped give birth to that dog and now it has 4 puppies.

That was another thing I loved about my job. Birth.

The first time I've ever witnessed birth was with my horses in Texas.

There was no one there to help them so i decided to help them.

I had no experience at all. I just read about horses giving birth.

I had no choice but to help the horse and when the foul came out, I nearly cried.

I had just witnessed birth.

Thats what inspires me to do my job. It might seem weird but I love my job.

I was on my way back to home and decided to stop to get Maya a mug to repay her.

I walked into the store and looked around.

Mmm..nothing Maya would like.

I started hunting for the perfect mug and finally I saw it.

It had the letter 'M' on it and has a dark, stary background.

Even though I barely knew Maya, she definitely seemed to type to be dark so I thought this best suited her.

I payed for the mug and made my way home.
