Marrying Mr. Shaw - Chapter Twenty-three - The Shaw's.

'I'll never stop dreaming that one day we can be a real family, together, all of us laughing and talking, loving and understanding, not looking at the past but only to the future.'

- LaToya Jackson.

A small growl escaped my mouth as the brilliance sun smite my face, burning holes on my eyelids. This ultimately woke me up. I yawned, rubbing my eyes with my fingers. I really wasn't a fan of sunlight in my sleepy mode.

I sat up in the uncomfortable position I was in as I was curled up in a ball. Stretching my arms wide, I realised I was sitting inside a car.

"Chris!" I sat up speedily, staring at Chris sitting besides me with a smirk.

I looked around the car I was in, then at the driver. He looked like a typical, rich person's driver with a white blazer that had black buttons designed on, black pants and a white hat that looked more like a pilate's hat.

"Before you ask, you drifted away in the plane and you uh looked very peaceful so I didn't uhm wanted to wake you...up." He explained, running his fingers through his soft hair.

I grinned at his cuteness. Is it possible for a guy to be this cute?

I leaned back, resting my head on his shoulder. He invites his arms around my waist and rests his head on mine.

"So you're not...mad at me?" I muttered.

"Why would I be mad at you?"

"You seemed pretty mad."

Chris sat up, causing me to turn to him.

"I wasn't mad at you," He started. He lifted my head up by placing his finger under my chin. "I would never be mad at you. I was mad at those bastards who forced themselves on my girl."

I blushed.

"Your girl." I whispered.

"Yes." He whispered back then leaned forward to kiss my lips. I closed my eyes and waited for the fireworks to erupt.

Just as we were about to kiss, a loud knock on the window snapped us both and we literally jumped up.

I didn't think we realised that the car stopped. Annoyed, I glanced at my window and nearly screamed.

Tony was outside, repeatedly knocking on our window, not removing that stupid smirk off his face.

"Tony." Me and Chris said in unison.

Chris flipped him the bird as Tony sticks his tongue at him. I shook my head in disbelief.

Tony kindly opened the door for me then shut it slightly when Chris tried to step out. I laughed as he flopped back at the car.

"TONY YOU MOTHER FU-"

"I LOVE YOU TOO BABY!" Tony screamed as he grabbed my luggage and sprinted past the black, spike tipped, iron fencing through the open gate into the long driveway.

It leaded to a rather externally structured, three story mansion. The exterior was magnificent with a stone and clean walls, blending it with black, bordered windows.

"Come on." Chris whispered, wrapping his arm around my waist.

"I'm scared, Chris." I admitted. Chris chuckled.

"Don't be. Those animals are in prison, Mrs. Simpson and Mrs. Wood wouldn't cross this area as we are filled with bodyguards and-"

"I'm not scared of that. I'm scared your family won't approve of me."
