Marrying Mr. Shaw - Chapter Ten - Evil witch

Song of the chapter - He Is We - Blame It On The Rain.

I
t's been exactly three weeks now that I have babysat Laila and things are starting to get exceedingly weird.

Defining that; Mrs. Simpson has been giving me a little too much detentions! Bitch.

Because of the detentions I have been attending, I'm always late for my work and Mr. Shaw-Chris is definitely not impressed.

He strictly demanded that he hate delays. He told me he's always late for his own job and his girlfriend clearly stated that she feels he doesn't exactly care about her as he's always late for their date also.

I smirked at that as to be quite honest, I didn't give a monkeys.

However, it wasn't my indention to get Chris late. It's just that stupid blond bitch always picking on me and giving me detentions with no valid reasons!

I'm the only one in my English class who gets picked on. I feel like I'm getting bullied by my own teacher!

But throughout the weeks, I have been missing Chris. He's never home, either work or all day, yes I repeat all DAY spending time with his girlfriend.

I haven't even met her or asked Chris for her name as it would hurt. I bet she's absolutely beautiful compared to me. I'm just a stupid little girl and she's probably a mature, high-class looking lady with twinkly eyes.

But on the plus side, I got to spend bundle of time with Laila and Tony and so far, it feels like home.

Yeah, without that special husband! Spoke a voice in my head which I shook off.

Groaning like anyone would on a Monday afternoon, I pushed open my home door, throwing my bag on the sofa and heading to the kitchen to grab a quick snack.

As usual, I got another detention so I didn't want to get late for Chris. Tony noticed that I'm recently coming late and I told him that I never have time to eat proper lunch so he orders pizza or something which is highly sweet of him.

As I ran into the kitchen and studying the fridge, I spotted some strawberries and grinned.

My favourite!

"Lucy Veronica Baker," Demanded my mother. I gasped, turning around at how my mom used that awful name.

"Mom, please don't use that again," I said which caused her to shook her head in disbelief. I narrowed my eyebrows and leaned on the dining table, eating strawberries.

I moaned at how tasty those juicy strawberries tasted, spreading the luscious sweetness in my mouth.

"Lucy. I'm very disappointed in you," Mom sighed. I narrowed my eyebrows once again. "Look Lucy, I don't know what's going on with you. You're never home at nights, you never eat, you're always out and that day you bought a lot of money, Lucy. A lot.

Also, you're getting detentions regularly when I know for a fact that you've never gotten one your entire life!" She scolded, throwing her arms up.

"Mom I told you I got a job that I have to go to every nights." I stated, pointing my strawberry at her.

Mom inhaled closing her eyes.

"I just think you are turning into a rebel, Lucy." She exhaled which made me choke on my strawberry.

I coughed and stared at my mother in disbelief as she looked at me in horror.

Reaching for a glass of water, I gulped heaven, slamming the glass, gently on the table.
