Chapter Ten

Feeling her warm breath on his neck, he couldn't help but feel rather self-conscious at the moment.

'This idiot...using all her chakra at once.'

"Hey, I think I heard the sound of water somewhere..."
Naruto voiced out, and Sasuke tried to listen to the surrounding closely.

"Yeah, it's just right in front. Let's rest there and think of a plan."
Naruto nodded and they made their way over to the river quickly. 

Gently placing Hanami on the ground where a shadow of the tree was, Sasuke turned and saw Naruto shaking Sakura up.

"Sakura, go and collect some woods, while Naruto and I will catch some fish to eat."
Sasuke instructed and they nodded in response.

"Naruto, take off your clothes."

"What! Why me?! Why can't we do it together?"
He shouted annoyingly.

"Tch...just do it already."
Sasuke demanded, wanting no more than wasting his breath explaining something so trivial to him.

Naruto grumbled a few curses before stripping till his underwear and went over to the river to try and catch those fishes.

Surprisingly, Naruto managed to catch one, but it was about to jump back into the water when Sasuke threw a kunai at it. That allowed the fish to be stuck onto a nearby tree bark.

After a while, they managed to catch three more and Sakura was back with wooden sticks.

"Fire element: Fireball technique"
Sasuke used it on those sticks to make a fire while they burned those raw fish to eat.

"Hey...Sasuke-kun...do you think we should tell Hana-chan about your curse mark? I mean-"
Sakura fidgeted with her fingers as she watched Hanami peacefully resting at the shade.

Sasuke turned his attention to the maiden as well, seeing her so vulnerable and innocent, it's hard to tell that someone like her had suffered so much.

"I'll tell her about it myself. Let's just focus on getting the other scroll and making it to the tower."
Sasuke replied calmly while he turned his gaze back to the fire.

After a while, Naruto went to wake Hanami up as the fish was cooked and she needed to fill her stomach for energy.

Groaning, she accidentally laid a punch, hard, on Naruto's cheek.

"W-what was that for Hana-chan!"
Naruto rubbed his bruised cheek with a pout.

"Ah! Gomen gomen Naruto-kun! I thought you were a bad guy...."
She laughed sheepishly, scratching her cheeks.

She stood up and shook her arms and legs to make sure everything's fine before approaching her teammates.

Everyone ate in silence and because she couldn't help but wondered what actually happened before she pass out, she broke it.

"Ne mina(everyone), what happen before I pass out? I remember there's-"
Before she could even finish her sentence, Sasuke interrupted.

"It's nothing important. Hurry up and eat so we can end this exam fast."

An irk mark formed on her forehead, as she chomp her remaining fish quickly.
