"Mommy!" "Yes Jo?"
Kate walked into her daughter's bedroom and smiled.
"I want Daddy to read to me!"
Sighing Kate got on her knees and kissed Jo's head.
"I know, but Daddy's not here right now. Remember how he has to work too like me?"
"Yes but...He's been gone for a while!"
"I know sweetie, He'll be back soon."
Sniffling Jo crawled onto her bed.
"Get some rest baby." "O..Ok."
Jo nodded and closed her eyes.

Kate walked out of her daughter's room into her own and sighed.
Rick had been gone for 5 weeks on an international book tour.
The whole family missed him and wished he was back.
Ally had gone back to California the week after Rick left and Alexis was still with them.
Everyone loved Alexis so they didn't mind.
A knock on the door got Kate's attention, "Come in."
"Kate."
The strong british accent echoed through Kate's room.
"Oh, yes Alexis?"
"Are you alright?"
"Yes..Just thinking about Rick."
"Oh, I'm sure he misses you to."
"I hope." "He does."
The redhead smiled.
"Thank you sweetie."
"Anytime, I'm going to go do homework with Abby."
"Ok, have fun."
"Thanks." She smiled and walked back out.
