~Dick's POV~
"Where the hell is she!?"
"Cheshire!? What are-"
"Don't play with me, Grayson. Where is my baby sister?" Jade asked, pointing a katana at me and I widened my eyes taking a step back. "Where's Maeve?"
"I'm working on it, Jade! I swear." I defended and she kicked me back against a wall.
"I almost lost one sister and I'm not losing another. My daughter deserves to have both aunts."
"Jade, listen-"
"This is all your fault, Richard Grayson. H-how could you put them in harms way like that!? Especially my baby sister... is she... do you not love her enough?"
"Jade, I'd kill for her if it'll make sure she's safe. You have no idea how much I love Maeve." I defended and gently pushed her back. "I've loved since she was Ace and before all the surgeries... I've loved her since I held her for the first time in that god forsaken warehouse."
"Stop lying, Grayson. Nobody loved her when she was Ace."
"I did, dammit! Out of all of us, I was the one who taught her how to love herself before she ever loved me or anyone else!"
"Then why do you keep putting her in harms way!?" She yelled, throwing the katana next to my head. "You swore to me and Artemis that you'd protect her... and she was in Arkham with him."
"You know better than I do that when someone she loves is in trouble, she'll move heaven and hell to get them back home. I was literally a second too late and Artemis can vouch for me on that because she was with me."
"She's a good person... she's the best one out of the three of us." Jade said, blinking back her tears. "She doesn't deserve any of this."
"I know that." I sighed, prying the katana off the wall and handed it back to her. "I was going to wait until all of this is over and talk to both you and Artemis, but you need to know how much she means to me."
I took off my belt and gestured for her to sit on the couch while removing my necklace that contained a small key. Unlocking one of the compartments, I pulled out a black velvet box and tossed it to her.
"Richard..." Jade gasped once she opened the box and I sat across from her. "When did you buy this?"
