"Leave it!" Meredith snapped and dropped the towel on the ground, tears starting to stream down her cheeks

"Mer, I'm just trying to help." Derek sighed

"Leave me." She quickly wheeled out to their bedroom but as she's wheeling through the hallway she bumped into Mark's shoes, not able to pass them without moving them

In all her anger she turned around and just went outside, quickly grabbing her coat

Once she was outside she started sobbing. She knew she was just very hormonal and it caused her to overreact but nothing in this house was actually made for her. Of course the house was adapted and it was great for when they came over but after two weeks of living in it Meredith had felt like she was just useless. She couldn't cook because of the cabinets, she couldn't even bend down to fill the dishwasher because of her pregnant stomach

"Mama? Why you cwyin?" Emma ran up at her

"Honey-" Meredith dried her tears, lifting her daughter into her lap and seeing Christopher sadly smile at her. He and Emma were playing outside but now he wanted to give her some space to cry

"You sad?" Emma asked her mother again

"A little bit, yes." Meredith nodded, holding her daughter tight to her chest

"Why? We been pwaying lots and lots." Emma shrugged, obviously happy her mother had been working less and less because her pregnancy was slowly taking its toll on her body as she's been having lots of issues with controlling her own body temperature, gaining weight, sleeping and she's been having many spasms and some back pain

"Because mommy just really misses our own house." Meredith tried to explain

"I like nana and poppa's house." Emma shrugged in her mother's arms.

"I know." Meredith nodded and held her daughter close despite the searing pain in her back

"Mama, can we have a snack?" Emma yawned, completely cuddled into her mother's arms

"Of course we can." Meredith nodded. "Why don't you go inside and ask daddy?"

"Cawry me?" The little girl looked at her with wide eyes

"Sure. Hold on tight." Meredith nodded, unable to say no

Meredith started wheeling inside, not bothering to remove her jacket. She was careful inside as the doors were just wide enough for her to wheel through

"Derek? Emmie's hungry." She wheeled up to her husband, feeling bad about snapping earlier

"Oh really?" Derek kneeled down, kissing Emma's forehead. "What about a peanut butter and jelly sandwich?" He suggested, the little girl shaking her head

"I want bewwy ice cweam.." she muttered

"Strawberry?" Derek chuckled, she was just like Meredith

"Uhu." The girl sheepishly nodded her tiny head, her blonde curls falling in front of her face

"Well.. mommy, do you want some as well?" Derek tucked Emmans curls behind her ears and looked into Meredith's eyes

"Please." Meredith softly nodded

"Can I lift you on the bed? We can watch a movie together and the three of you have some ice cream." Derek suggested, rubbing Meredith's stomach gently

"Thanks. And sorry about earlier." Meredith quietly said

"I'm sorry too. I shouldn't assume that I can just take over. I should have asked." Derek nodded and they wheeled out, once again bumping into Mark's shoes

"I'll kill him." Derek muttered and moved them so Meredith could pass

"Thanks." She whispered. Without her stomach she would have been able to bend down

They went into the bedroom, Emma quickly collected some stuffed animals and installed herself next to her mom in bed

"Give me five minutes, I'll grab ice cream." He kissed Meredith's lips, his hand stroking over her stomach

"Mama, is sissy being good?" Emma asked zs they were waiting

"She's very good. Do you wanna talk to her?" Meredith smiled as her daughter had often just cuddled her stomach

"Uhu!" Emma nodded and placed her ear on Meredith's stomach. "Hi." She giggled.

"Think she's saying hi." Meredith chuckled as she saw her stomach moving as the baby was kicking

"When is she coming, mama?" Emma cuddled back into Meredith's arms

Meredith quickly fixed her shirt again, not wanting to get cold. She wrapped her arms around Emma and kissed her head

"Still a bit longer, princess." Meredith rubbed Emma's arm. "We'll have to make sure the house is completely ready before she's coming."

"I wanna go back home." Emma told her mom

"Oh why? I thought you loved staying here?"

"I do. But I want sissy to come." Emma giggled

"You do? You'll be the best big sister." Meredith smiled but by now her back was starting to bother her a lot

"Ice cream!" Derek smiled as he walked inside with two strawberry milkshakes

"Shake!" Emma's eyes went wide and took the cup

"Can you set me up first?" Meredith asked, disappointed with herself

"Spine?" Derek asked

"Yeah." Meredith sadly sighed and Derek helped her sit up in a different way, using the pregnancy pillow to support her from the sides

"Have your milkshake, then you can lay down and take a nap." Derek kissed her head, cuddling into her body to support her the best he could
