Dragons: The Nine Realms (Jun Wong x male reader)

I wanna tribute this chapter to the people who died in the titan submarine on the 18th of June 2023 seeing as something similar sorta happens in this episode/chapter

*A few days later*

At the ICARIS station, the group and their dragons are helping to move some boxes for Chief Baker

Plowhorn is grumbling softly as she's pushing a box forward with her snout. Alex grunts in effort as she lifts up a box while her dragon is also putting a box down on the already large stack of boxes before flying away. She pants softly with how heavy the box is and puts it down on top of another box near the stack before picking up another box. Eugene grunts softly as he puts down the box he was carrying on top of another box near the stack. Webmaster also has a box in his arms as he puts it down on top of another box near the stack and pushes it forward. Eugene puts his arm down on a box, panting and getting tired from walking back & forth while carrying a box. He then looks at his dragon with a scowl

"Why is this taking you so long, Webs?" Eugene asks his dragon, annoyed. "You have eight legs." he tells him. "It should take you half the time!" he scolds him.

"That's not really how math works, Eugene." Alex informs her as Webmaster walks off.

"Then math is wrong." Eugene says to her.

Tom rolls his eyes at this

"Come on, guys. We're almost done." Ryu informs them while carrying a box to the large stack.

Alex & Tom then walk off as Eugene looks at the group and the dragons carrying boxes to the large stack. Then he sighs

"Fine." Eugene says, giving in. "But why are we even doing this?" he asks in confusion.

"My dad needed the extra help." D'Angelo answers.

"But, like, what do we even get out of it?" Eugene questions. "Hey, is your dad gonna throw us some cash at least?" he asks him, putting his hands on his hips.

"Sometimes, Eugene, you do things just to be a good person." D'Angelo explains, giving him a life lesson on how to be a good person.

Eugene just gives him a confused look in response

"Forget it, D." Jun says to him. "You're wasting your breath. Eugene cares about Eugene." she informs him before walking away.

"And my hefty bank account. Cha-ching!" Eugene adds proudly, making a cash register sound before walking away.

D'Angelo sighs in disappointment at this. Thunder growls softly while carrying a box in his front paws before putting it down on top of the large stack

"That's it, bud." Ryu says to him. "Perfect." he praises when Thunder puts it down properly.

Thunder then flies off. Ryu then hears Director Wong talking to someone, causing him to turn his head to see her and Sledkin

"You've already done enough Dragonsite research, Wilma." Director Wong reminds her.

Ryu hears Thunder land behind him and quietly shushes him, so he can continue to listen to the conversation between the 2 women

"Unauthorized research that put animals in harm's way, I might add." Director Wong adds. "No more!" she forbids.

"This is groundbreaking work, May." Sledkin argues. "You know I'm right." she says to her. "I won't stand for this!" she asserts loudly.
