"Ahhh, no place like home" Mai said as we exited the teleportation gate in Zestier

"So what are you planning to do, Art?" I asked

"I'll go see Tess we're a little early but I doubt that will be a problem" Art replied

"If anything she'll be happy to see you earlier than scheduled"

After our experience in The pit of fists we decided to go back home although it was a earlier than scheduled me and Mai needed new armor and I wanted to conjure a new pair of daggers, from what Yozora explained me my 2nd stage was basically an overall powerup, it enhanced all my capabilities 5 fold from my basic strength and endurance to my ability to manipulate mana the only thing it didn't boost was my total mana pool although since it did boost my efficiency in using mana rotation it was kinda like having more mana, unlocking my 2nd stage also gave me insight to a new ability, I could now draw and condense shadows into solid constructs and while they would dissipate once I deactivated my beast will they were incredibly strong so I wanted to experiment a bit to see if I could maybe combine it with my metal conjuring to create more powerful weapons

Since we needed armor I suggested to take a look in Xyrus City but Mai said she knew a place that made armors boosting decent defensive capabilities while still being lightweight, so we decided to take a look as I was quite loaded with cash at moment, Mai had been adamant in giving me every single coin we earned by selling the harpies' beast cores saying I did most of the job and that she was already taking the boss's core so it was only fair to leave me the others, excluding the ones Mai used to replenish her core when we were down there I still had more than 60 A class beast cores unfortunately none of them had a will but they still fetched a hefty sum of money

"Okay Mai lead the way" I told her

We started going through the streets of Zestier as Art headed to the castle, after almost half an hour of walking we reached the shop

"Ehm, Mai you sure this is the place? Because I've been here before and I've only seen formal clothes" I said perplexed

"They have armors as well, they just keep them in a separate section of the store" Mai explained as she walked in

"Welcome! Oh, lady Mai it is a pleasure to see you again, are you looking for something specific or do you prefer taking a look on your own?" the female clerk at the entrance greeted Mai

"Good morning, I need armor lightweight the one I bought last time if available also something of the same material for my friend here" Mai replied with a dignified and cold tone

Wow, given her usual behaviour around us I kinda forgot she's actually from a powerful noble house

"Of course, tailored as usual right?" the clerk asked

"Yes"

"Then follow me please, we'll take your measures" the clerk said and started walking towards the back of the shop.

After they took our measures we discussed the style, apparently their unique leather granted great protection against blades while keeping the leather flexible and soft to not hinder the movements, while we were here I also ordered another cloak, one with the ability to never get dirty or soaked by the rain

"Very well, the armor will be ready in 2 weeks while the cloak will be ready in 3 days, the total is 160 gold coins sir" the clerk told me

160?! Damn this place is expensive, good thing I have the money from the harpies' cores.

"So what now?" I asked Mai as we exited the shop

"Do you want to take a look around the city?" Mai proposed
