Chapter 15

Jade Leywin POV

"Ooof"

"You're improving" a curt deadpanned voice said

"A little difficult to believe you when I'm being tossed around like a rag doll Jasmine" I remarked with a tired voice

It's been 2 weeks since the Twin horns arrived and since my training with Jasmine to learn how to use daggers started, 2 weeks of being tossed around, from what she said aside from some basic things like stance and little tricks the only way to get skilled was sparring, a LOT of sparring.

"Hahaha, it's seem like the little monster isn't as strong as we thought" Adam commented watching us spar

Helen immediately delivered a slap to the back of his head silencing him

"Adam you know full well that if Jade fights seriously he can beat any of us, have you already forgotten how he handed your ass to you?" Helen mentions

It was true if I used my conjuring skills there was virtually nothing they could do against my illusion magic, I could simply make myself invisible conjure a bunch of illusions and carpet bomb everything with my spells, of course I won't do that first because it's too dangerous for a simple spar and second because it wouldn't be training for me

"Okay, let's continue" Jasmine says as she assumes her battle stance

"So how is he doing?" dad asks Jasmine

We continued sparring for the entire morning and are now eating lunch

"Quite good considering his age and the fact that he's a conjurer, but I don't think it's good for him to always spar against the same people" Jasmine replies

"Hmm, so we meed more people huh?"

"Yeah it'll be bad if he develops habits in response to our fighting styles" Jasmine explains seriously

"Why don't bring him at the Auction House? He can spar against some of the guard there" Vincent propose

"It's not a bad idea, while he would still draw some attention due to his age as long as he conceals his core level and elemental affinities he's good" dad observes

"I still can't believe he's a quadra-elemental deviant" Adam mutters while shaking his head in disbelief

"To say nothing about the fact that he's already at the dark yellow stage" Durden adds

Everyone just smile awkwardly at these remarks

"Can I come to the Auction House too?" Lilia suddenly asks

"Do you want to spar with the guards too?" Tabitha questions her worried

"Yes" Lilia replies determined

"Hmm... Well as long as the guards doesn't go all out it should be fine, it will also be a good experience for them conjurers are hard to find so they don't have much experience fighting one" after thinking about it dad agrees.

After lunch dad, Vincent, Lilia and I take a carriage to reach the Auction House, once there Vincent goes to his office to resume his work while we go to the training grounds

The training grounds were located behind the Auction House and were enclosed by a fairly tall reinforced wall to ensure no stray spell or projectile could hit someone outside, there were several areas: in a corner I could see several targets and dummies for ranged augmenters, on the other side I could see several press benches and other machines for weightlifting, at last there were several raised platforms 50x50 m that are used for sparring.
