Rose and I came back from Shanghai and we sat down on chairs.
She sighed. "So tired..."
"Then rest."
"No, it's fine. True kaiju users should not sleep."
"How stubborn..."
"Call me that again and I'll kill you."
"Only speaking facts." I grabbed a few towels and handed her one. "Here."
"Arigatou." Rose wiped her face.
We heard footsteps and we looked to see Tetsu. "You finally came ba-"
He panted and we saw how injured he was. We both stared at him, then Rose started to laugh. "Hahahaha...!"
"What's so funny?!"
"What happened?"
"Tch! Stupid copycat Gridman...!"
"Oh...Gridknight?"
"No, that white one! How did he even know I was there...?"
"You were on the rooftops, correct?"
"And?"
"Then anybody could've seen you."
"I hid myself very well! Even if I didn't, there was no way they could've seen me from that far."
"Gridknight and...Gridpaladin was it? They're strong, and perceptive."
"You sure it wasn't just Tetsu?"
"What is that supposed to mean?!"
"Calm down, Tetsu."
"Damn you...!" He calmed down, then looked around. "Where's Masashi?"
"He said he had some business to attend to. It was something his 'friend' wanted."
"Oh. I see..."
We stared at each other for a while and there was silence. "Hey...did Masashi ever say anything about his friend?" Rose asked.
"Another kaiju user, like us. That's all."
"Another kaiju user...wait...why don't we recruit them?"
"They're dead. Killed by that Kaiju Eugenicist, Gauma."
"Gauma..."
We stared at each other again. "Tch! Can't believe we have to wait..."
"And our followers?"
"They're waiting for our commands."
"Sitting here won't do any good. Kaijus are probably showing up right now."
"Not really. Even with the kaiju seeds in the most devastated countries, there's no chance of them showing at all."
"Indeed. It's really up to destiny whether or not a kaiju appears."
"Destiny...such bullcrap..."
"Don't say such things like that, Tetsu."
"So is it our destiny to sit here and wait?!"
"Of course not."
"Then let's do something!"
"Like what? Masashi has a plan; to act now without him may ruin it."
"Tch..."
"The least we can do is watch them from afar I suppose. That red figure...such power..."
