(Heya people. Sorry this one took a little while. Was busy with college work and have finally provided pictures of all Azur Lane characters introduced in previous chapters. If you decide to look back through the chapters, you can now at least put names to faces. Enjoy)
In response to the NP's call for assistance, Queen Elizabeth swiftly put together a task force and immediately dispatched them to the location of the Siren Fortress. Their journey would take them south, past VD and IL controlled waters and then east where they would just barely bypass SDE territory. With their engines on full throttle, they made staggering progress and in just a few hours arrived at the southern entrance to the Black Sea. Unusually, no stray Siren ships or fleets were encountered on their trip, which served to put the RN taskforce on guard. Perhaps the absence of Sirens was the result of the event involving the Fortress they were dispatched to investigate. The waves crash against the hulls of their ships as the RN Shipgirls mentally prepare themselves for whatever might be found at the site. The ships disappear in a flurry of bright blue cubes and form rigging as the girls land on the surface of the ocean. (SDE stands for Sardegna Empire FYI. Couldn't use SE cause that's taken by the Sakura Empire)
Newcastle: "Alright, we have arrived at the entrance to the Black Sea. All territory beyond falls under Northern Parliament jurisdiction but it was infested with Sirens who set up a Ice Fortress which stuck out like a sore thumb. Apparently something happened which caused a massive explosion in the Fortress' location."
