Another fight, another death.

"Shit. I think were lost." Mi-jin said frustrated

"There's no trail?" Hyo-ryung asked

"There hasn't been a trail for a while. I think we've been going in fucking circles." Mi-jin said

"Why did you come this way if there was no trail?" Dae-su asked tired "if we go down the wrong way, it will be Hyosan."

"Ha-ri. Look!" Wujin said pointing to something in a tree.

"Theres something there" ha-ri says walking closer to look

"Who left a yellow string in the tree?" I questioned

"Who would do something so nice? Huh? A ginseng digger? Mi-jin said smiling. Everyone just looked at her and her smile faded

"Theres another one, down on that tree" i said pointing

We all started following the yellow strings in the trees it was better then just wondering around blind in the forest. After about an hour maybe of walking we entered the town. But it was quiet.. a little too quiet. There were dead birds in the street.

"Didn't he say to go to yangdong?" Dae-su questioned

"You don't think there are zombies here, too, do you?" Hyo-ryung askes nervous

"No way. Maybe they evacuated, because it's next to Hyosan." Bare-su reassured her

"Hey, i'm getting a bad feeling about this. It's too quiet and those dead birds.." i explained

"If y/n has a bad feeling, so do i." Gyeong-su says looking at me

"Were okay here. There are no broken windows, or blood on the streets. It wouldn't be this clean if there had been a zombie rampage." Ha-ri explained

But i could hear stuff as she was talking. I stopped dead in my tracks and i noticed nam-ra did too

"Ya, whats wrong y/n?" Wujin asks squeezing my hand a little

"Nam-ra?" On-jo says her name..

"Hold on" nam-ra says "y/n do you.."

"Hear that? Yep. 1..2..3..4.. we need to run.. now!" I yelled

"Where?" On-jo askes

"Everywhere.. run now!" Nam-ra yells

We all start running down the street in hopes to get away and not have to fight. I'm not sure we would make it without losing someone if we fought. And we've lost enough of us already.. as were running down the street bare-su, dae-su, and gyeong-su tripped over supplies a store had left outside.

"Are you guys okay?" I asked running back up to them

Bare-su stands up and grabs a shovel "take dae-su and go."

"Forget it" dae-su says struggling over to also grab a shovel

"What are you doing?" Bare-su asks

"I said forget it." He replies back

Suddenly each and every one starts to grab their own weapon ready to fight.

"Fuck, i have a feeling this might be the end." Min-ji says

"Stay behind me" wujin says to me and ha-ri , we looked at each other and laughed

"No jin.."

"You stay behind us" ha-ri finishes

The seconds felt like minutes and the minutes felt like hours waiting for the zombies to catch up to us, suddenly they turned the corner running as fast as they could toward us. Bare su was the first to charge them and whack one with his shovel. They were fast, and they were hungry. But we never stoped swinging. One of the zombies tackled dae-su to the ground, he was struggling to keep the zombie from biting him. I ran up behind the zombie and snapped its neck.

"Woah, thanks y/n" dae-su said out of breath

I reached my hand out to help him up "anytime" i smiled and winked before running off to fight another.

Everyone was busy dodging, and swinging, trying to survive their own zombie. I had just finished one off and didn't see the one coming at me.

"Y/N BEHIND YOU!" Wujin shouted

I spun around but before the zombie could tackle me i was tackled by someone else..

I was too scared to open my eyes.. i didn't want to see who would be stupid enough to risk their life for me.. i was already bitten I would have been fine.. i could hear the sound of flesh being ripped and chewed as the zombie feasted on whoever was on top of me.  Min-ji ran up on the zombie and started stabbing it with her pole, over and over, and over again. Until finally it died. I was mortified when i opened my eyes..

It's like the whole world stoped.. the sound that escaped my mouth didn't sound human.. i couldn't move.. i laid there watching as the crimson blood was slowly dripping down their lips.. i couldn't help but look at the skin thats ripped and peeling off their neck.. i could see the fear in their eyes as they looked into mine. I could hear their heart beating so fast i thought it was going to thump out of their chest. I could feel the moment my heart dropped and the feeling in my stomach when i looked into those eyes.. this was the end for them, and its because of me...

"I.. had.. to save...you. I l-..lo-.. i love you, y/n.." they choked out with tears falling down their face..
