This story will take place several years after the events of Homeworld 1.

From humble beginnings on the desert planet of Kharak, to the construction of the Hiigaran Mothership. Her maiden voyage which violated decade-old treaties which forbid the Exiles from ever leaving the planet which was supposed to be their tomb. (Yeah, how well did that work out??) The Guide Stone which was discovered on the wrecked Khar-Toba, becoming the Exiles never-ending source of purpose to reclaim what they lost.

As the Mothership's crew began final system checks for their departure from the Scaffold, one young and aspiring officer was peering out of the Mothership's bridge into the expanse of space. The thought of leaving his birth world of Kharak in pursuit of the Exiles' dream, to find their ancestors home world of Hiigara. The world that the Taiidan Empire had stolen from them. Yet no amount of fleet and tactics training could prepare him, among everyone else, for the bloody conflict which would ensue. Passing down orders to different strike groups which would all play their vital roles on the battlefield, all while explosions erupt and lasers slice at opposing warships as strike craft fight for their lives in violent dogfights.

The journey across the galaxy would force the Exiles to find, and fight, a multitude of factions.

The Kadeshi, guardians of the Kadiir Nebula and "The Garden." Within their nebula, the Kushan Navy found an old, derelict Exile transport which was ID'd to be the exact same transport that ferried the Exiles to Kharak. This transport had broken off with the Khar-Toba and the other transports to try and survive in the nebula.

The Taiidan Empire, the ones who gave your ancestors the boot and exiled them from their own home world. When they discovered the Exiles built their own mothership capable of hyperspace, they sent a taskforce to destroy any orbital facilities orbiting Kharak and bomb the planet, killing all inhabitants and rendering the planet uninhabitable.

The Kushan Navy had to fight hard if they hoped to find their home world, and not to mention, reclaim it. Your knowledge in fleet management and tactics played a key role in dispatching your enemies while taking the least losses possible. It was for your deeds, that when the Kushan Navy removed the Taiidan Empire from Hiigara, you were given command of your own fleet to ensure Hiigaran safety and prosperity, the fleet of Ascended Justice.
