Colours overlapped with every single step I took,
as I dived deeper and deeper into the woods
. My breath
became uneven and my heart was trying to synchronize with it—

but it was all in vain.

My pace slowed down,
and suddenly,

I felt as if—

as if I had been there before.

My head was pulsing in pain. It was loud,
yet quiet. I knew it was playing the same old song,
it usually did—

one chord at a time,

followed by a pause.

Another chord.

Another pause.

Another chord.

Another pause.

And then—

it accelerates,
dictating the rhythm of my heart.
