Today was our flight to LA for my cousin Mike's wedding. It still annoyed me that Joan couldn't make it because I wanted to introduce her to my family.

The flight was long, but a direct flight to the US, so it was fine. I was so bored.

Either I watch something on the screen or listen to music. I would rather be in Serenity; at least, I would be busy, unlike here, I felt useless.

Mom worked on her laptop while Phoebe busied herself scrolling on her iPad. While I was busy doing nothing, Joan filled my mind and saved me from hours of boredom.

Joan, the girl I liked the first time I met her under the mango tree. I knew from the day I met her that she was cool because she was pretty confident and honest. That was why it became easy for me to like her, and it made me smile thinking I had the chance to prove myself to her.

I was glad that I did not intimidate her, unlike any other girls I had met before her; the most admiring thing about her was her good heart; she loved everyone around her.

Good thing I proposed to her in time because I knew someone else liked her. Cee didn't even hide his feelings toward her. The funny thing was that I knew he wanted her even before he realized he did.

I had no problem with him. He seemed like a good guy, and by that, I meant that he decided to let me know that he also asked for Joan's approval to be her suitor.

I couldn't speak for him, but I had the most sincere intentions for Joan and, as Cee had said, let the best man win.

Joan deserved the best, and I wanted her to be happy. That's what I want for her above all else.

I needed to buy something for her, that was for sure. And as I was thinking, my annoying sister distracted me because she smiled a lot and looked stupid.

"Mom, can we talk for a second?" she started.

I was uninterested in eavesdropping, but what could I do? I didn't have any choice. We were in the same place and just inches away from each other.

"Yes, love, what's the matter?" Mom asked in return.

I looked up at Mom, and she was pretty surprised by Phoebe's words. She already knew that my sister was up to something. She always did so what's new?

"Since you and Dad are busy with the corporation and Kuya is busy with Serenity, I was wondering if I could put up a small business, too?" she asked.

Oh, I knew it; she was up to something. I thought she was too young to handle her own business; she was only 16.

"What kind of business, love?" Mom asked again.

"I guess a salon or something, right?" I interrupted their conversation to break my boredom. It's always about herself, so I guess it's something like that. And since she loves going to one, I thought she was up for it.

"No, Kuya! I was thinking of an online fashion boutique," she said.

Oh, really? Despite not having finished school yet, she had plans to start a business. Oh, come on.

"Do you like that?" Mom asked.

"Yes, Mom, and you know I can be responsible, right?

"No, you're not!" I protested.

I am just annoying her to break her mood. It makes me laugh a lot when she's annoyed.

"I am, and I will; you're such a bully, Kuya; stop teasing me," Phoebe said. Yes, for you, I am a bully!
