Vassiah and Ken'Janae sat in her braiding studio as Janae worked on a wig. "This could've been for you if you went to homecoming tonight."

Vassiah rolled her eyes, "Why do I need to be going somewhere to have a wig? You can still give it to me."

"You can buy it," She set her tweezers down and reached up towards the ceiling to stretch.

"With what money, tt?" She crossed her arms.

"That lil' Popeyes money. I know you don't come home smelling like fried chicken for no reason. There's change in your pocket." She said, moving the wig off the mannequin head and to her own head that was already braided down with a bald cap atop.

Vassiah watched her adjust the wig so it fit perfectly, "It's ugly on you anyway. It would look better on me."

"Stop lying. This blue is really my color." Janae teased while sitting in her chair so she could glue it on.

There was nothing Vassiah could say because that shade of blue really did look good on her aunts skin color. "Yeah, that's what I thought." She laughed while Vassiah got up to leave the room.
