I got soaked

Riley's POV
The next morning was quiet. I woke up with no interruptions, no Oscar crying, when I wanted to wake up I woke up.
11.34 is when I got out of bed. Oscar was lay on the floor in the living room Lucas was making breakfast.
"English breakfast love" Lucas greeted me with a hug.
I sat down in the living room, watched a little TV and kept my eye on Oscar.
My phone vibrates, which is something that rarely happens.
Miya - hey girl wanna go on a walk in the park?" Xx
I found that so sweet.
Me - sure I'll be ready at 12 x
Miya - see you later girl x

Lucas shouted me in for breakfast. I sat Oscar in his high chair round the table with us.
"I'm going on a walk with Miya at 12" I broke the news to Lucas
"Ok, take Oscar with you. I'll be busy" he replied. I gave him a conceded look.
He didn't say anything.

I finished eating and for myself and Oscar clean and dressed then packed oscars changing bag, got my shoes on and headed out the door.

The park wasn't so far a walk away so I insisted I'd walk, the weather looked great anyway.

We got to the park, the sun was beaming brightly, no clouds in sight. I waited for Miya at a bench outside the gates of the park.
Miya - I'll be a little late sorry xx
Me - it's fine I'll wait xx

Minutes passed.
No Miya

More minutes passed.
No Miya.

I had waited longer than 45 minutes.

It began to rain.

I had no coat.

I got soaked.

I waited an full hour for Miya. Then I got a message from her.
Miya - sorry girl I really am. Something personal has come up and I can't make it! So so sorry xx
I didn't reply, I headed home.
I got through the door and Lucas was waiting at the door for me.
"Riley I've been waiting for you!" Lucas said
"Well if you were really that bothered then you could have come to collect me in the car!" I snapped
" you soaked!" Lucas stated the obvious. I glared at him with a blank expression. I left Oscar in his pram and went straight upstairs leaving Lucas to do his own thing with Oscar.
