Abyss was trudging towards me, cigarette in hand as usual. I tried to stay silent but when he was about 100 feet away he saw me. I curse my white hair for making me stand out against the tree.

To my dismay, he continued closer

To my dismay, he continued closer. Until he stood looking down at me from 10 or so feet. He just stared and it made me very uncomfortable. I snuggled into the tree more and held Gully tighter.

Avoiding eye contact hoping he'd ignore me as he has been.
Unfortunately he spoke,

"You don't look so good." He stated, taking a puff.

I know I don't. I know I'm ugly I wish people would stop pointing it out though. I refused eye contact still. I know it's rude to ignore people, but like momma said I'm a bad person, I didn't want to answer him, hoping he'd leave sooner.

But he didn't. He walked closer and leaned against the trunk as well, it being a big tree made us remain 10 feet away.

After a while I started to feel the sleepiness after eating take over. I needed to head back to my room. I didn't want to fall asleep outside or around him. He might hurt me. I know he doesn't like me.

With that in mind, I rise to my feet slowly, using the tree to help. My body still ached from my fall, as well as stomach pains now. Once standing I stilled for a moment catching my breath.

I chanced a look at Abyss only to see him glaring back. I swiftly looked away. I annoyed him just by being here.

Way to go Gianna.

Deciding that maybe I didn't need the rest, I pushed myself off the tree and tried to quietly leave, not to disturb his peaceful relaxation.

With each step, the pain in my ribs shot through my body. I suppose adrenaline and my need for food fought off most of the pain before, but now it has come.

I clutched my ribs as I tried focusing on one foot in front of another. Once I rounded the corner, out of his sight, I let out a whimper of pain and leaned against the building.

"Are you hurt?" a voice came from behind me.

I yelped in surprise and spun around to face Abyss. Did he follow me? Why? Oh no. did he follow me to bully me? Maybe hurt me?
