Chapter 57 - Solo Sugod Bahay

They all left the Mendoza Mansion late after lunch as they do not want to reach Manila late in the evening. Dean did not join the group back to Manila and asked to be left behind and will just follow the next day. Maine would have stayed behind as well but the group needs to be at APT very early the next day. So she had no choice but to go back to Manila with the group. 

Since Dean will be joining Maine the next day, Maine was left with no service and driver. The group decided that she will ride with JoWaPao and Alden will be the designated driver and they will all be dropped off at APT where they will all camp for tomorrow's show. As they reached APT, everyone was already getting their stuff out, when Maine realized that her other stuff was in their van with Dean in Bulacan. She now has to get things from her house or stay in her house and just be early the next day for the noontime show.

With this new incident, Alden offered to drive her home to get her stuff while Mama Ten joins Sam to get his stuff from his condo unit and they meet at APT. Before driving out of the parking lot of APT Alden asked Maine.

Where do I drive you to? Sa Condo mo ba? - RJ

Oh no, dun sa bahay ko. Nakalipat na ako, hindi mo pala alam - Meng

Actually, I heard na gawa na yun bahay mo at nakalipat ka na, I am just not sure kasi hearsay lang e - RJ

Asus, oo totoo nakalipat na ako noong Dec 8 I pushed for that date kasi birthday ni Mama Mary yun and feeling ko the house will be blessed kung makalipat ako dun ng araw na yon -Meng

Nice. So makikita ko na pala ang matagal mong pinagplanuhan na bahay - RJ

Sige na mag drive ka na para di tayo masyadong gabihin at makapag rehearse at pahinga agad tayo pagbalik - Meng

It was a smooth drive and Alden need not to be guided as he knows the place. He was with Maine when she was still planning to purchase the lot and visited a few times during the start of the construction. He even recommended some suppliers for Maine during that time and was able to accompany her in buying some of her supplies for the house. 

When they reached the place, Alden was in awe looking at it from the outside because this is the first time he  saw it built and finished already. 

Ang ganda Menggay, nasunod talaga yun nasa design. Galing ni Tatay talaga. - RJ

Thank you sa Architect na nirecommend mo. Wait till you see the inside - Menggay

The gate was opened by their long time driver and body guard na rin si Mang Bert. Who was surprised and happy to see Alden when they drive in. Mang Bert even saluted as a sign of greeting while Alden acknowledges 'Hello po Mang Bert, kamusta?' 'Ayos lang po Sir RJ, long time no see. Nice to see you Sir'

Maine didn't wait for Alden to open the door from her side as they are in a hurry. Alden went at the back to get Maine's things and carried them while Maine opens the front door. Mang Bert carried the other things to help Alden, they all entered and Alden was so happy and in awe to see the inside of her house. Mang Bert got the other things from Alden and placed it in one corner.

Menggay, ganda ng house mo. Nasunod yun gusto mo - RJ

Ano ka ba, halika may pakita ako sayo (and she led her to the deck, her favorite spot), tanda mo ito? - Menggay

Wow! Hala! talagang nagpalagay ka ng deck ang galing, ganda ng view mo dito napaka peaceful, sarap mag stretching. - RJ

Sinunod ko yun suggestion mo kaya  ayan eto favorite spot ko sa bahay bukod sa room ko - Menggay

Sino pala kasama mo dito sa bahay bukod kay Mang Bert? Si Dean ba dito rin o naiwan sa condo mo? - RJ

Nag pupunta dito si Yaya Pe, bukas kasama siya ni Dean pagluwas  kasama yun magiging permanent household help ko dito na malayong kamaganak rin namin. Teka gusto mo ng maiinom? Kuha ka na lang sa may kusina mamasyal ka muna habang kinukuha ko mga gamit ko. Feel at home - Menggay

While Maine was in her room getting the things she needs, Alden was wandering around and he is just happy that Maine's dream of having her own house came true. He reached the kitchen, it was simple and neat. He tried guessing where the glass is placed knowing Maine is an OC as well, his guess was good and accurate it is still placed on the upper right cupboard. And before opening the ref, in his mind he guessed what he will see inside - ice cream in the freezer, bottled water, water in three pitchers, cakes and chocolates, eggs, hotdog and bacon. And he opened it it was all there. Napangiti na lang siya kasi tama yun hula nya and he got water from the pitcher.  He noticed that there are plastic wares that has food inside, siguro mga staple food nya re-heat na lang pag nagutom siya. He was drinking when Maine appeared in the kitchen.

O nakita mo? yun mga gamit dito sayo ko nakuha mga ideas pati san bibilhin - Menggay

Napansin ko nga. Teka may di pa ako nakikita e, (sabay punta sa little pantry and checked the groceries) wala ka parin kupas Menggay. You should be eating healthy, mas madami pa din ang junk foods mo e - RJ

Eto naman hayaan mo na, yan pinapakain ko sa bisita ko e hahahahaha. Magdala na nga tayo sa APT para may makain tayo. Tsaka yun lasagna na niluto ko may natira pa dalhin na rin natin para di masayang. -Menggay

Nagluluto ka na? Talaga ba Menggay? - RJ

Oo nagluluto ako pag wala ako magawa, if not nag bake ako ng cupcakes - Menggay

Wow! That's good to hear. Tara dalhin na natin yan para makabalik at matapos na tayo sa rehearsal. Pero talaga ang happy ko for you at nakita ko na itong dream house mo - RJ

While they were packing their things Alden can't help to think. Siguro madalas dito si Jason. They must have spent a  lot of time here. All he has was memories in her condo during those time it was their safe haven. He can sleep over with permission with Nanay at Tatay and with Dean around. Eating ang cooking for Maine was a delight for him during their breaks. Those are happy memories - yun lang yun ngayon - memories. He shrugged it off and just continue with what they were doing. They have loaded Maines' things and they are off to APT. Maine offered to drive as Alden has been driving and must be tired already. Alden refused and Maine just won't be stopped until she gets what she wants - to drive them back to APT.  In the end, Alden gave in.

They were singing with what's playing on the radio - Coldplay. It was a happy drive back to APT no traffic. They were unloading their things when Maine's phone rung and the screen says it's Jason.

Hello, babe where are you? - Jason

Hello, hi I am at APT, why? - Maine

I am here at your place and Mang Bert just told me that I just missed you. You were here daw e. I was going to visit you I was around the vicinity I met up with some friends nagkasalisi tayo - Jason

Uy, sorry naman. It was a quick drop off and just got a few things for the rehearsals for tomorrow's show - Maine

Yeah, can I pick you up once you are done? - Jason

I will be spending the night here babe, para di na ako mag mamadali for tomorrow and everyone's also staying the night na rin. Sorry babe. Siguro after the show tomorrow we can meet up and grab coffee or something  - Maine

Sige, let's see what tomorrow brings I will send you a message. Ingat ka ha, I miss you - Jason

Yeah, thank you. Ikaw rin ingat ka. Bye - Maine

After the call, Jason was staring on his phone. He knew that Maine was with Alden because he asked Mang Bert who drove her as he knew that Dean is in Bulacan, he called him first while on his way to Maine's house. His mind is in overdrive at this point and he just can't accept the idea that they were together just now and still are in APT and will be spending the night - jealousy is clouding his mind now. He drove off ---- where to?
