Chapter 31 - Dinner Date Now (3)

RJ and Menggay were having fun talking while walking under the many stars out that night with matching cool weather. Sensing that Menggay was feeling a little cold. RJ offered her to wear his coat since he is wearing a thick long sleeve polo underneath. As they continue to walk and talk, they noticed that they are already in near their favorite cafe. Both looked at each other and both said "Coffee?" they laughed as they had the same thing in mind.

They both went inside and ordered their coffee and settled a seat inside by the window. They could have opted to seat at their favorite spot outside but because of the cool weather they chose to stay inside. While waiting for their coffee, RJ started to ask Menggay.

So, what brought you here in Italy Menggay? Malayo ito ha tapos mag-isa ka lang. Hindi ito long drive ha at hindi ito Asian country tulad ng Japan ha. - RJ

Dami naman comment! Well, sobrang gulo ng mga tao sa paligid ko when it comes to managing my career, ang daming tao ang may opinion sa bawat projects ko, sa bawat actions ko. It took its toll and I need to get out of the chaos. - Maine

Why? Nasan ang manager mo sa gitna ng kaguluhan? Dapat he should be on top of these things and should be protecting you not just counting what he earns from you and your projects. At ang team mo ano ginagawa? They should be protecting you too. - RJ

Ayun na nga, sila sila mismo nagkakagulo kaya bago pa ako maloka at sumabog umalis ako ng malayo sa kanila. No one knows where I am except sina Tatay at Nanay - Maine

Alam mo Menggay, you should have told me na ganun na pala ang sitwasyon I could have rescued you at ipapahiram ko sayo team ko, or at least si Leysam at si Mama Ten like before. Call or text lang alam mo naman malakas ka sa akin - RJ

Naku alam ko naman na busy ka kaya di na kita naabala nung mga panahon na yun. At nakakahiya kina Mama Ten at Leysam. But I miss them, how are they by the way?  - Maine

They are all good. They miss you too, lalo si Mama Ten wala daw siya kakampi (laughs) - RJ

Naku bully ka talaga kay Mama Ten. Miss ko pag alaga ni Mama Ten kaya (pouts) - Maine

Buti pa sina Leysam at Mama Ten na miss mo. - RJ

Ewan ko sayo (snobs playfully at RJ) - Maine

RJ just laughed it off seeing Menggay pouts. And they just went on talking about family and friends until it was time to call it a night. They reached Ostello Bello and RJ walked Menggay to her room. Menggay was opening her door and when it opened, she turned and said thank you to RJ.

I really had a great time tonight, dinner was great thank you nag enjoy ako - Maine

You're welcome. And thank you rin for tonight I really had a great time too catching up - RJ

Good night RJ (steps inside the room and slowly closed the door) - Maine

Good night Menggay, sleep well (stayed for awhile when the door closed) - RJ

RJ's head was leaning on the door talking to himself - dapat ba hinalikan ko siya? or hug man lang to show my thanks? Ano ba naman RJ nilamon ka na naman ng hiya at insecurities mo andyan na oh abot kamay na lang di mo pa na kiss, pa thank you man lang - ano ba RJ? ang tanga mo! Tried opening his door.

Meantime, Maine was still at the door her forehead leaning talking to herself. Ano ba naman Menggay thank you kiss lang di mo pa nagawa, dati mo naman nagagawa yun . Nagpapabebe ka na naman matanda ka na. Teka bakit siya di man lang nag good night kiss, ang lagay ako lang. Turns around and tried to cross her arm noticing that she is still wearing RJ's coat. Immediately opens the door and called RJ.

Before RJ takes his step going inside he heard Maine call him and he immediately turn around and walk towards her direction. They were a foot away and they were staring at each other as if in a trance. Maine broke the silence by saying 'Thank you sa coat' and hands it over to RJ without breaking the stare. RJ reached out for it and said 'You're welcome'

Maine was the first to break the staring and takes a step backwards "Good night" she said and RJ said "Good night din". As Maine turns the knob of her door RJ walked to her and hugged her tight, he's been wanting to do this kanina pa. Maine was surprised but immediately relaxed and hugged him back. RJ with eyes closed he whispered "na miss kita sobra" Upon hearing this, Maine closed her eyes and said "I missed you too". And RJ broke the hug and kissed her forehead and said his "goodnight Menggay" and Maine went inside her room while RJ was still standing outside smiling until he goes in his room.

Both were restless and kept tossing on their bed, still thinking of what happened. RJ wants to invite her on a hiking expedition, he needs to invite her coz he don't know yet how long will she be here in Italy. And so, he got his other phone where only one contact is listed and called her. Maine was trying to sleep but was not successful heard her phone rings but it was the familiar ringtone that she heard and answered the call.

Hello, Menggay, sleeping ka na ba? - RJ

Malamang hindi pa, kausap mo pa ako e heheheh joke lang! Bakit? - Maine

I would like to invite you sana mag hiking if you are up to it? - RJ

Pwede naman. Kailan ba ito? - Maine

Bukas or the next day - RJ

Teka di ako pwede bukas I need to go somewhere nakapag promise na kasi ako e. The day after tomorrow let's see. I will let you know, ok lang? - Maine

Oo naman sige, let me know. Ingat ka bukas ha. Sige sleep ka na. Good night Menggay - RJ

Sige. Good night RJ - Maine
