Chapter 43 - Dinner & Getting there

Alden was starting to prepare dinner when Maine got out of the room fresh from her bath. She also started to help Alden prepare. The door opens with Nay Rosa, Mikoy and Kakai laughing and excited for tonight's dinner. They all were announcing their entry and their contribution to tonight's simple feast.

I have the best chocolate cake for dessert care of Alessandro. He says he misses the two of you - Nay Rosa

Sweet naman ni Alessandro. Naku Nay! I have Gelato masarap yan kasama ng cake - Mikoy

Ay! kumpletuhin na natin, meron akong pancit palabok at balloons na dala - Kakai

Talaga!? - Nay Rosa and Mikoy

Hala sila oh! Ano ito birthday party? Hindi uy! Sosyal ang share ko Red Wine (shows off the bottle to everyone) - Kakai

Ay! I am so sure galing yan sa bahay ng amo mo, nag nenok ka na naman ano - Mikoy

Hoy! hindi ko kinuha ito, binili ko ito - Kakai

Binili? talaga lang ha! - Mikoy

Oo naman - Kakai

Yun totoo Kakai? - Nay Rosa

Oo na Nay, hiningi ko (sabak kamot sa ulo) wala naman nainom doon bawal sa amo ko kaya hiningi ko sabi ko for my phenomenal friends - Kakai

The room was filled with laughter with what transpired.

Aba di papatalo si Menggay - RJ

Oo naman, gumawa ako ng (gets the cake from the ref) taraaaaaa! Blueberry Cheesecake - Maine

Ay! wow may pasabog pala si phenomenal girl. Minsan lang ito at si Maine mismo ang gumawa namnamin natin - Mikoy

Teka naman! Mamaya na ang dessert, kain na muna tayo. Nagluto ako ng adobo tikman niyo - RJ

Naku masherep ba yan tulad mo? - Kakai

Everyone laughs. 'Masarap yan sure ako (sabay bulong kay Alden pero rinig ng iba) basta kain ako ng chocolate cake at gelato ha?' She was asking permission from Alden. 'Menggay, kagagaling lang ng lalamunan mo matamis at malamig agad?'  Maine was pouting already and pleading with her puppy eyes. Alden laughed and said 'Fine pero share tayo para di ka masobrahan sa kain ha?' And with that Maine just smiled and hugged him, a way to say thank you.

Nay Rosa, Mikoy, and Kakai were just watching them, again these two forgot that they are not alone 'Ahem, respeto naman o nilalanggam na kami dito oh, puro hantik na oh' Kakai said and the two were surprised and just laughed at it. And so, they began to eat dinner. It was a very happy dinner. There were exchanges of funny stories, the house was filled with heartful laughs and good food. Alden was commended with his good cooking, the adobo was delicious they were all full. As agreed, RJ and Maine shared the dessert so that Maine can control her eating too many sweets, they ate on one plate feeding each other. Again, the three were in awe of what is transpiring in front of them. They see and feel the love between the two. They just look at one another and smile.

Kakai, Mikoy, and Nay Rosa all volunteered to clear the table and clean the dishes as Alden and Maine already did the cooking and preparation of the dinner. And so, they told everyone that they are going out for a walk. They were heading to the lake but before they do, they decided to pass by their favorite cafe to get coffee. It's going to be a long night. 

As they walk their way to the lake with coffee on hand, Maine started to ask Alden.

Tinawagan mo pala si Nanay? - Menggay

Ah, oo kasi nung magkasakit ka I was preparing for the worst. I called her to ask kung may nadevelop ka bang allergy sa medicines. Kasi medyo matagal tayo di nag kasama kaya nagtanong ako in case dalhin kita sa hospital alam ko isasagot ko sa doctor pag nagtanong. - RJ

And whose fault it is bakit matagal tayo di nagkasama? (smirking at Alden) - Menggay

Oo na it was my fault, but as I said I needed to distance for work reasons and yes for personal matters na rin. You just can't let it slide Menggay - RJ

Salamat talaga sa pag asikaso at pag aalaga sa akin ha, si Nanay at Tatay nagpapasalamat din sila - Menggay

Sus! para yun lang? Hindi naman kita pababayaan at alam ko pag masama pakiramdam mo kaya madali na lang yun. Ang importante maayos ka na. Tsaka sa susunod nga pag tinanong kita wag ka ok lang ng ok lang, masama na nga pakiramdam kinakaya kahit di kaya. Tigas din ng ulo mo e - RJ

O teka lang ha, kumalma ka nga heto na nga ako oh ok na ok na kasi nga galing mo mag alaga. Pati yun secret ni Nanay naishare na niya sayo, yun pagpahid ng white flower sa mga paa ko tapos lagyan ng medyas ginawa mo na nga. - Menggay

Oo nga e, ngayon ko lang nalaman yun. Secret na malupit pala yun! - RJ

Oo secret na malupit yun sayo lang niya sinabi, nagulat nga ako nung sinabi niya sa akin e. Kahit si Jason di alam yun...(shocked at what she just said) - Menggay

They kept quiet for awhile with that revelation from Maine. They stopped walking and decided to sit on one of the bench. They were looking at the lake in silence.

Maine looked at Alden and bravely asked, bakit ka lumayo sa akin? bakit kailangan may magbago sa atin?  Maine was serious in asking Alden, she was looking at him in the eyes looking for an answer.
