"Hunter, if I was a frog, would you love me?"

You opened one eye to get his reaction.

He had looked up from his book and stared forward for 3 seconds before turning his eyes to his book again. "No." He said.

You closed your eyes. "Good, neither would I."

"Would you love me if I were a hot frog?" He asked.

You considered his question. "No. Would you?" You sat up and looked at him.

He turned a page in his book. "No."

The silence grew between you and he grabbed your hand out of nowhere. "I love you. But not as a frog."

You smiled and leaned into him. "I love you too. But not as a frog."
