Pistanthrophobia definition: a phobia of getting hurt by someone in a romantic relationship.
The anxiety and fear has seeped in now,
my growing fruit suddenly stopped.
No longer using my veins for nutrients,
they stifle and spoil and begin to rot.
The sun can no longer keep them alive,
for my roots are damaged, just as I thought.
It's short, I know, but I feel like the less words spoken, the more weight they carry.
